What an adorable, sweet short story!! It has some steam, some "awww" moments, and an heart warming epilogue.

"Love isn't about perfection or beauty....[Its] about needing that certain someone in your life... who makes you feel whole. It's helping the person you love when they need a hand to stand straight. Love is never giving up on the person you care about."

The author is really good at making you care a lot about the characters very quickly. They have great chemistry, the writi...more

Aww, this story was so sweet! This wasn't a very long story, only seven chapters and an epilogue but I thought it was lovely!

Jeremy has awakened alone in the desert, dehydrated and beaten. His last memory was getting into a brawl and then nursing the pain from the wounds with Johnny Walker. Walking along the highway a car suddenly stops to help and who steps out but Erica, Jeremy's childhood crush, who broke his heart seven years ago. She was the little sister of his ex-best friend and when he...more

First off, let me just note that YOWZA, 'Try Me' has one hell of a hawt cover and Diane Alberts is one lucky lady to have her name so deliciously displayed on such a fine set of abs! OK, now that that's done - onto the story...

Although this was a somewhat cute story, I found that it didn't have much substance to it and the dialogue and "flirty" banter came across as stilted. Erica and Jeremy were both likable enough, yet we weren't given enough info to really substantiate who they were....more

Yes....I downloaded this book because of the extremely hot guy on the cover...I mean, who wouldn't want to look at that!!!...and with a title like 'Try Me' How could I resist?! I never did have much will power!!!

I have never read this author before and at the time there were no reviews, so I had nothing to go on....except the hot guy on the cover!! and when people say don't judge a book by it's cover, in this case it's a LIE.

This book was lovely, a weak word you may say to describe a book but n...more

Everyone is in awe and lust with this cover, so when I tell you that the story is even better than the cover you can imagine it will be extraordinary! Diane Alberts wowed me with Try Me, and I was amazed at what a beautifully round and well developed romance and characters she gave in such a short novella (of merely 65 pages)! A wonderfully emotional yet witty (I LOVED Jeremy's sarcastic dry narrating tone!) story. I loved it.

Entangled has done it again!Diane Alberts has created a great romance with a mixture of sadness and denial but in the end there is a Happily Ever After to DIE for! I have not really read a lot of adult books lately but Entangled has brought home so many hard hitters it is hard for me to ignore the adult in me.

Try Me starts off with Jeremy a Sargent in the Army on leave. He decides to get far away from everything he has been avoiding by going to Las Vegas. He figures while he is on leave he can h...more

That's my opinion on the ebook novella--though, really, Jeremy at one point cooks her breakfast shirtless... I'm just saying. Hot abs. Cooking Bacon. Then, the dog tags. That's the trifecta, ladies. There's nowhere to go from there.

As for the rest of it, this was Diane Albert's best book yet, and I really enjoyed her previous novellas. The back and forth candid dialogue between Erica and Jeremy felt natural and was hilarious at times. I liked that they both came to the relationship with scars--b...more

Try me was read in an hour! It was SUCH a short book, but OH SO fulfilling in EVERY way! The cover is amazing which is what drew me to wanting to give it a try and then then book told me a story that I wanted more of!

Even though this book was short I felt as if I had read a FULL LENGTH novel because it was so greatly developed and I loved that! It didn't feel rushed... and Alberts knew what she was doing!

Try Me (Take a Chance, #1) by Diane Albert’s

Reading Try Me by Diane Albert’s has lead me to go find out if she has written more books, I enjoyed this story it is a fast read and quite enjoyable. Oh and did I mention a sexy looking Marine.

Diane’s writing is good, words flowed well, I thought both characters had great chemistry together, plus the cover wow, I probably shouldn’t admit half the reason I signed up to read and review this was because of the cover…but it was worth it.

Entangled Publishing has completely changed my opinion about novellas. They really are perfect for when you're looking for a quick read, especially if it's romance.
A few weeks ago, I read Divinely Ruined by Diane Alberts. It was the first book that I had read that was written by Diane and I absolutely loved it. Try Me was just as good and in some ways, even better.

Best friend's little sister + high school sweetheart + best friends turned enemies... this combo makes this the perfect ever after.

Now, let me add Jeremy, a model look alike U.S. Marine, who's wounded in more ways than one inside out. Aawww, the purrrfect wounded hero. I think Marines never looked this extra hot. (There I said it.)

Then add Erica, she is not the regular type of heroine. Actually, I found myself without words at this heroine. Erica is a heroine like no other, and I'd never read a...more

Try Meis an erotic romance novella by Diane Alberts. It tells the story of Jeremy Addison, a Marine who's on leave. He goes to Vegas and ends up getting in a fight, then the next morning he wakes up in the desert, bruised, battered and dehydrated. As he's walking to try and get himself back to civilisation, he flags down the next car he sees. And, by some huge coincidence, he happens to know the driver. She's his ex-...more

This was yet another fantastic short novel by Diane Alberts! Her ability to put so much emotion into a book that takes only an hour or two to read is impeccable.

Jeremy is a wounded soul. His father was an abusive alcoholic who committed murder and Jeremy was tagged as the boy on the wrong side of the tracks. He had been betrayed by his only close friend and lost the woman he loved in process. He doesn’t do serious relationships and for the most part doesn’t see himself as worthy of anything rese...more

So this book isn't just about a drool worthy cover. The content inside was very good and Diane Alberts style of writing makes it easy for you to like her characters and care about the outcome of their story. As you can see from the cover, the male protagonist Jeremy Addison is one hot Marine. He's macho, proud and ready to throw down when provoked. But when it comes to the woman that he’s loved since the first grade all of Jeremy’s insecurities about his past returns. Eve...more

Why didn't I see this earlier, like on the day it was released? Oh my gosh! This is so good!

I love the story, I love the characters and I love Diane for spinning such a wonderful love story that leaves me smiling when the two main characters finally accepts each other! I mean... really... when two of them have been thinking about each other for so long after so many years... that's really sweet! The hot man on the cover said "Try Me" and I did NOT have the strength to say no.

Bypass the BEAUTIFUL cover and there's just a short, mediocre contemporary romance. There are some rather unbelievable coincidences involved with the main character running into his former love interest and his former best friend. I had trouble wrapping my head around that part of the plot.

Also, for as sexy as the cover is, there's not a very big steam factor in the story. That was surprising. Sexy cover boy probabl...more

Jeremy has loved one woman his entire life.. the sister of his childhood best friend.. Erica... Over the years since he told her he loved her and she ran away, he has kept tabs on her.. not in a stalker watches you from the bushes and touches himself... but tabs non the less. So, imagine his suprise when he is stranded out in the desert beaten to a pulp and wandering down the side of the highway and a car pulls over, driver gets out, and his day just went...more

I have definitely been on a bit of a contemporary romance kick recently and Try Me hit the spot perfectly. I have to confess I was drawn to this one for the cover (well who could resist muscles like those?) but the blurb sounded good too so I jumped at the chance of reading it. I've been burnt before by stories that don't live up to their fantastic covers but I'm very pleased to say that wasn't the case with Try Me and I'll definitely been keeping an eye out for more from Diane Alberts in the fu...more

Diane Alberts has always been a dreamer with a vivid imagination, but it wasn't until 2011 that she put her pen where her brain was, and became a published author. Since receiving her first contract offer, she has yet to stop writing. Though she lives in the mountains, she really wishes she was surrounded by a hot, sunny beach with crystal clear water. She lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with her...more
