Recommends it for: Folks who like poetry, art and East Asian though
It’s not like I know a lot about art, but I do know a little about East Asian history and I have been in museums in Japan, Korea and China (including the great National Palace museum in Taipei). Chinese intellectual history fascinates me, especially Confucianism and Daoism and to a lesser extent Buddhism (adding India and South and Southeast Asia now). How these ways of thinking expressed themselves in Korea and Japan is something I very much enjoy. And, yeah poetry. I confess to being a Li Bai ...more
