Very solidly written police procedural set in England, easy read with somewhat leisurely pacing and a mature, methodical lead detective as the main character. Refreshing to find a main character who is reliable and competent, without any family issues and no emotional problems.

The plot, starting with a robbery on a bus, provides an interesting plot framework and enough twists to keep the reader interested.

Positively amateurish. The writing is wooden, suspense is absent and the plot is idiotic.
