This book was a pleasant surprise given to me by a neighbour for my birthday. It is a collection of stories about life, death, dogs, being alone and random important thoughts about our place in the world, by a writer from the Toronto and Haliburton area. I enjoyed the structure which moved back and forth through different life events, and the poems interspersed throughout. It's a warm and thoughtful read, and a very personal reflection on life.
