Thoroughly researched book on some of the best sports rivalries in the world. State and Wake take backseats to the real talent and vitriol here - Duke and UNC - but all four are fairly well represented. It is unfortunate, though, that the coverage of the two blues is so lopsided. UNC comes out smelling like roses and Duke...doesn't.

Still, the writing is pretty great. I deducted a few points for the lack of objectivity, the glossing over of certain seasons, and the shoddy editing work by whatever

Shelves: sports, non-fiction
Perfect examtime book - brainless but engaging. The real problem with it is that its material is taken from a lot of other books, mostly John Feinstein books, and mostly books I've already read. Plus, this book is filled with typos and grammar/spelling errors. That should not happen.
