As I have written this novel it's safe to say I have read it over and over and then some.I'm not about to rate my own work because after completion and publication it belongs to the reader to decide. Some have given two stars, another three, and a couple of four stars. None of them are my parents, spouse, siblings or friends. I don't know who they are.As long as the time they spent with the book was enjoyable and a fun toy for their head then I'm happy. I received this book for free as part of the goodreads first reads giveaway. This book is about a man who upon finding his dog killed by a strange creature, sets out to discover what did it and what it has to do with the strange happenings around his town. I won this book from the author through Goodreads, first-reads giveaway. Thank you.

Great writing and word usage, for the most part, for a smooth, easy read. I felt no real connection to the characters, they are what they are. Keeps your interest (in the beginning, lags, then picks up again later), keeps you reading, keeps you wondering beyond the final page.
First-reads book.
For whatever reason, I am having a heck of a time trying to get through this book. I like the premise and am enjoying the storyline in general. Unfortunately, I am either not in the mood to read this type of book right now or the writing style is one I do not like as well as others.
