I would recommend it to any young reader. It is a good beginning book and has good pictures. It is about an explorer named Ernest Shackleton and his crew making a trip to Antarctic. Their ship gets stuck, so they have to go on a floating piece of ice. It made me wonder what was going to happen next and if they were going to make it off of the ice.
