Reading books like this piss me off because the writing is so bad. It's like reading something I would have written in high school. It could have been about 150 pages shorter with all the extraneous sentences we didn't need. How many times are you going to talk about how they don't look their age?! We get it.
I get pissed off because I should have 360 million copies of books sold since I can write better. Maybe I should read more of Danielle Steel to force me to get off my ass and write something...more

While the writing style is rather basic the three main characters drew me in. This is one of the books that I can delve into because I can visualize the story. Somehow, even knowing the unrealistic nature of these relationships, specially the men, I enjoy the read.
This story is not very heated either, while romance is definitely the feel, there aren’t a lot of sexual descriptive scenes- which I don’t need.
As a romance novel I rate it well.

Good read. I've been out of college for 20 yrs and I still send/receive Christmas cards from my three closest friends. It is so nice to hear from them.
Now, my daughter is a sophomore in college and she has two very close friends. So I can really relate to this book.

I went into this book, fully expecting another Danielle Steelishy story - but I have to admit, this one is GOOD! A quick, but engrossing read, for sure. It's about three college friends who got together much later in life, each in a bad position/time of their lives until they went to a ranch together. Major keywords for this book - Friendships. Love or Second Chances at Love. Women. Esteem. Mid-age. Health.Acceptance. Love. (did I say that again!? ) If you are in the mood for those kind of stori...more
This was difficult to read because it's so very poorly written; there's no editing, the style is almost oral storytelling, as if she wrote it directly from dictation with no changes whatsoever. The plot is obvious, with a completely unreal ending, and all tied up in a neat little package end. Yuck--hence 0 stars.
Now I can honestly say I've read a Danielle Steel.

Since 1981, Ms. Steel has been a permanent fixture on the New York Times hardcover and paperback bestseller lists. In 1989, she was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for having at least one of her books on the Times bestseller list for 381 consecutive weeks. But Guinness was premature. The fact is that one or more of Ms. Steel's novels have been on the New York Times bestseller list for...more
