What a fool I am! I've had this hot number sitting patiently in my TBR pile for months, just waiting for me to finally pick it up and read it! After reading the first two titles in the "Immortals After Dark" series, I was not in any real hurry to read further in the series. The first book was okay, and admittedly the second book was much better, but this one was just outstanding! I feel like I did when I finally got around to reading J.R. Ward's BDB. I have been rendered speechless. No Rest for the Wicked is so amazing, I don’t think any review I write can sum up its greatness. From the get-go, Cole sucks you right in! Another great book in the Immortals After Dark series. Can I be honest and say that I really disliked Kaderin at first? She is one valkryie with a Valhalla-sized chip on her shoulder (Bad pun, I know). I felt bad for how she had suffered, and normally I love a strong, kickbutt heroine. After reading Kresley Cole's entire Immortals After Dark series back to back, I was pleasantly surprised to find that when I think back to No Rest for the Wicked (Second in a series of Seven (thus far!)) what stands out the most in my mind is the hero, Sebastian. Loved the chemistry between Sebastian and Kaderin. Great twist for the ultimate vampire slayer to fall for one. Also enjoyed the global feel with all the locations of the Hie competition. #3 in the Immortals After Dark Series and it was a wonderful paranormal romance! I enjoyed Sebastian (vampire) and Kaderin's (valkyrie) tale. Sometimes, Kaderin was too cold and mean, but her character was stripped of emotions hundreds of years ago because she could not take the pain of seeing her family murdered. She was a vampire hunter! Having this book requested on PBS forced me to sit down and finally get through it. I had been hesitant of reading this one after having had such a bad taste in my mouth from A Hunger Like No Other, but I am happy to announce that I liked this one sooo much better than the first.

I liked this book better than the last, mostly because of the characters...

Kaderin the Cold Hearted, stopped feeling emotion after the death of her two sisters, a millennium ago. She only has two reasons to live: to kill as many vampires as she can; and to compete in the deadly Hie, which Kaderin has never lost.

Now this is what I’m talkin’ about! Yes! Finally Kresley Cole decided to take this series one step further. What I Loved: I really loved the romance between Bastian and Katya because I thought it was unique. She had most of the "guy" issues and he knew what he wanted but kept saying the wrong things.
