What a fool I am! I've had this hot number sitting patiently in my TBR pile for months, just waiting for me to finally pick it up and read it! After reading the first two titles in the "Immortals After Dark" series, I was not in any real hurry to read further in the series. The first book was okay, and admittedly the second book was much better, but this one was just outstanding! I feel like I did when I finally got around to reading J.R. Ward's BDB. Now I can't wait to read more!...more

Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series continues with this stunning addition. In this book we meet Sebastian Wroth, a reticent vampire who was turned against his will by his brother. Though Sebastian curses his immortality, he does what is necessary to keep himself alive--though he gets his blood from the butcher and not from humans. When a beautiful Valkyrie comes to kill him, he awaits death without fear and is even eager for it since it will free him from the bounds of immortality. But wh...more

Kaderin needed to totally change her way of thinking after meeting Sebastian. And he needed to come to grips with being a vampire and stop hiding, or was it actually sulking? They take a wild romp around the world on a scavenger hunt as they get to know each other. These are serious competitors! But then the prize made it all worth it, right? The whole concept of time travel to change the past makes my brain spin, always has, however it wasn't any harder to suspend belief for than Valkyri...more

Loved the chemistry between Sebastian and Kaderin. Great twist for the ultimate vampire slayer to fall for one. Also enjoyed the global feel with all the locations of the Hie competition. More action/adventure than it's predecessor, "A Hunger Like No Other", but still plenty of hot sex...um, plane cabin? need I say more? ;)

#3 in the Immortals After Dark Series and it was a wonderful paranormal romance! I enjoyed Sebastian (vampire) and Kaderin's (valkyrie) tale. Sometimes, Kaderin was too cold and mean, but her character was stripped of emotions hundreds of years ago because she could not take the pain of seeing her family murdered. She was a vampire hunter! Collected vampire teeth...he was a vampire. How 'bout that combo?

Story of Kaderin the Colhearted and Sebastian the scholar. Vampire slayer and vampire. They are opponents in life...and now they're opponents in "The Hie". Each trying to win the prize and change the single defining moment of their life.
Hot, Hot, Hot. Don't miss Sebastian's story.

Katja and Bastian. Now this is a couple you can sink your teeth into - no pun intended. Both wicked smart, delicously attracted to each other and lethal with or without weapons. These two are literally made for each other regardless of the fact they are two warring species in the Lore. The instant magnetic sexual chemistry between them is nicely balanced by the recognition there aren't true feelings there yet. The feelings are a slow build that we get to enjoy as they traipse around the world in...more

Another Kresley Cole favourite. I still love No rest for the wicked more but this book shows the strength of a woman without the banners and flags of Wonder Woman.
Kaderin was known throughout the centuries for her cold heart and deadly skill with a sword.
So what does a girl do when faced with a recluse vampire who's heart only beats for her? Kaderin's emotions are rekindled and with the Hie coming up she definately doesn't need to be feeling hot and bothered over a vampire.

chick-lit might be stretching this....it's really basically girly porn.
I felt that the author seemed to wrap it up a little quick, but still, a fascinating read. vampires and all.

Another winner from Cole. Sebastian...so dreamy and so eager to give more than he got. I thought this book was more exciting than the first and loved the Lore's version of "Amazing Race". Another scorcher too. I loved the fact that Sebastian was insecure and inexperienced and was so amazed when he finally got to experience everything he'd ever fantasized about at the hands of a hot blooded woman. What a turn on for them both…and the reader. Awesome book.

These books are fun and funny. The females in them are these quirky immortals who are obsessed with pop culture. The men are these 1200 year old vamps, werewloves and other immortals who have no idea what the women are talking about half the time.
This book in the series features an 'Immortal Amazing Race' if you will.... that the love story happens around.
Kresley Cole's books are a fun read with characters that are as endearing as they are quirky.

I am really enjoying this series, not only does it go further in to fantasy than most other UF books it keeps you looking for all of the details that make her a unique author. I love the way the groups within the lore interact and it makes for a page turner even though I would not consider it a fast read. This book specifically had a great story that made it feel like a reality TV show which I happen to be a big fan of =)

I liked it, but not nearly so much as I liked the first in the series. Kaderin and Sebastian didn't spend enough time together. In the previous book, the two mains were almost inseparable from the first pages on; almost every single scene was worth rereading. In this one, just a few parts really stick in my memory. Still, I love this series and can't wait for the third installment.

I couldn't put this down. Full of action and suspense. The sex//no-sex was fantastic! Sebastien and Kadaren were amazing. I really like the characters from the Lykae clan to the Valkerie and then the Vampire. This kept me riveted. Anxious for the next one!

I just love this series by Kresley Cole. I wasn't disappointed by this book. The characters are enthralling and the story is entertaining. I love the shrieking Valkyries, and the other kooky characters the author has included in this series. Cole writes great paranormal romance.
