I enjoyed the rhymes and rhythm with some onomatopoeia thrown in. It's a great book about conflict resolution, from a squabble between siblings, to a global scale. I seriously teared up a little when I read the line "the whole world was marching in one big parade." It reminded me of the peace march our community does every year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Warning - it may inspire a pots and pans parade through your house or neighborhood. :)

I was of two minds on this one--I liked the verse, and the first couple scenarios (siblings fighting, solved when they decide to share a soda or do something different) had nice messages. As the book went on, though, it got a little too New Age-y for me: if everyone just walks around the world together making lots of noise, we'll all be friends! Or maybe I'm just overly cynical about books that N. is not yet old enough to sit through...

i have to read this once a year since i discovered it in Provo when my oldest was in preschool.
it makes me happy happy to sing it aloud to my kids, or whomever will listen. this would make a great coffee table book. or better yet, a gift to your favorite hawk of a politician

A brother and sister learn that friendship is better than fighting and they soon spread their message all over the world. Bright colorful illustrations with quit some text but for the older kids it would be a great book to read aloud to in a smaller group.

This book starts off when siblings can't get along and turns into a political statement about everyone respecting each other and all of our differences. It also talks about music brining everyone together. Fun rhyming book!

Never assume you have nothing in common with someone until you spend some time with them. This book conveys that message in an almost Dr. Seuss-like way.

Perfect read-aloud book. One of the best children's books I've read. It has everything - rhyming, repetition, a wonderful message, great artwork.

A favorite go-to book in Room 407. Rhythmic verse communicates how a group becomes a community.

Zesty, Seussian rhyme and illustrations hurl us to a crescendo of hardcore harmony. This book’s message is simple: Peace is a choice.

This book begins with two siblings not getting along. They resolve their conflict. The book continues with a conflict and a resolution between a family and then neighbors and the circle widens until it includes the world.

Story may be a little long for some. Important message.
