"Thane's mouth is nice, and although people say his lips are too thin, I don't see it. At least you can tell Thane has lips, unlike Drummond Gates who looks as if God got lazy and just made a knife-slice at the lower edge of his face." - William Maltese, Diary of a Hustler.

If you don't mind reading emotionally gripping and highly erotic accounts as life as a hustler, definitely get your hands on this book!
Very few instances of Maltese the prankster here, although, he adds just enough to lessen the harshness of reality. In Diary of a Hustler, William Maltese is simply profound at illustrating a life with no self-worth...sad, but true.

I don't remember how I came to read this sleazy knockoff of a gay porn novel, but I vaguely recall that it was not particularly good but not particularly bad. Whatever. The funny thing is that it came up when I searched for Joey: Autobiography of a Mafia Killer. When this cover came up, I said, "Oh, hey. I know that dude." Weird coincidence.
I was pleasently surprised by this book. I'm not sure why I liked it. I can't think of any specific reasons as to why I would recommend it. I just liked it because I liked it. (Lol) The ending is more than frustrating though. Grrr!

I was born in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, land of work boots, flannel shirts, lumberjacks, and rain ... rain ... rain. Frequent deluges probably the origin of my present fondness for most places warm, tropical, and continually bathed in lots and lots of sunshine.
