Twin Text- And then it’s Spring by Julie Fogliano, copyright 2012

Selection Rationale- I chose the book, Exploring Spring, because first grade students learn about the four seasons. This book talks about what Spring is, what people do in the Spring, how nature looks in Spring, and why the seasons change. And then it’s Spring is a picture book that discusses how the seasons change from Fall to Spring. The pictures are very detailed and can lead to great class discussion of what is going on in each
