I thought GARFIELD was crap when it first appeared and crap when I gave it this one final chance so that I could try to “get” what fans get from it. Either I failed or mediocre Jim Davis did. Formula writing, lazy drawing, utterly predictable and unamusing. Feh.
I liked it cause it's in color. It had a really funny comic that would have been no fun if it had no color.

James Robert "Jim" Davis is an American cartoonist who created the popular comic strip Garfield. Other comics that he has worked on are Tumbleweeds, Gnorm Gnat, Slapstick, and a strip about Mr. Potato Head. He also has created a Garfield T.V. show that aired on CBS for six years.
