There are new troubles for the fierce cats of the warrior Clans. Dangers they have never faced, and should never have to face again, are lurking in the shadows, the Twilight shadows. Allies of the past are acting strangely hostile. Now that divisions between the Clans grow deeper, Firestar's daughters face troubling decisions. The choices they make could affect ThunderClan for generations to come. With an unexpected enemy preparing to attack, their courage and strength will be needed more then...more

This is the 5th book in the second series about the 4 Clans of Cats; Warriors the New Prophecy. Once again it was okay. I am finding myself just wanting to be done with these books so I can move onto something better. I think this book can aptly be described as a teenage soap opera where all of the teenagers are cats.

This book deals with the cats settling into their new territories and trying to find a Moonstone so that the medicine cats can communicate with the Star Clan. All the medicine cats...more

Basic synopsis: Unexpected rivalries arise against Thunderclan and a forbidden love threatens to rip the seems from Thunderclan's insides. An ominous promise foretells the death of a young cat and with looming danger of claws and teeth, how can the clans survive in this unknown place?

This book follows Squirrelflight and Leafpool, each female cat dealing with her own secret issues. The love hinted between Leafpool and Crowfeather in the last book is expanded and the reader should expect the unexp...more

This book is a continuation of the warriors new prophecy series. It goes to the point of Firestar's daughters. Firestar is the leader Thunderclan and his daughters are having trouble. Both are falling in love and coming into the troubles that come with it plus ones that are rather stupid. Also near the end, a huge threat approaches killing multiple of the Thunderclan cats.
This book is written from the point of two cats, switching off every 1 or 2 chapters. Honestly, it is not as good as the r...more

Technically 3.5 stars, but I refuse to give four because the relationships were all so forced.

Much better than the previous few. This one had good pace and some really good ideas such as the difficulty with the clans helping one another. The kitty romance would have worked better had I believed either of these characters really cared about each other beyond the fact that the authors told me so. I'm also disappointed to be denied Brambleclaw's perspective, but I suspect that will be the next book...more

This book was a really great book! It was about Brambleclaw and Squirrlflight getting into quarrels about Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost hanging out with each other. Hawkfrost is Brambleclaw's half brother and she doesn't trust him because Tigerstar was his father. On the other hand Leafpool is tring to choose over her clan and her true love. Leafpool is a medicen cat and they're not allowed to fall in love. Who will she pick? If she goes with her true love will she ever go back while the clan is in...more

I love these books ... there seems to be no end to the suspense and drama that enters into the plots. As the clans, who learned to work together as one to survive, settle into their new territories, they are beginning to revert to their divisions and hostility toward the rival clans. Friendships seem strained and, as Shadow Clan's apprentice medicine cat runs away with a WindClan warrior, Midnight's warning arrives too late. An unexpected enemy is preparing to attack and no one knows it is comin...more

MIND BLOWING! great stuff, I really loved this book. Some cats must make tough decisions and there's some forbidden love, and love triangles - quite eventful in my opinion. Sad ending. I must warn others that it would be confusing without background information if you just jumped into the series without reading it from the start. It's the best series but only if read them in order. READ WARRIORS!!!

Alright, so I kind of went on an insane reading marathon so about six Warriors novels will get reviewed one after one on my wall at this point. This is the fifth book in the second series, and things are building for the grand finale. I simply could not put this book down and the second this paperback wss out of my hands I downloaded the next on kindle and just kept on reading! I usually save kindle purchases for hard to get books, but I simply cannot wait on incompetent staff at the local books...more

It's tough spending half this book in Squirrelflight's head when she's such an unkind whack-job. She is blind to her own sister's faults, but detests Brambleclaw for the same reason. If she could just realize that the way she felt when (view spoiler) is how Brambleclaw felt about his siblings, she'd realize they have the same thing in common, instead of letting their shared feelings seperate them. Yes, I do blame it all on Squirrelflight, because she neve...more

In this book many very exciteing things happen. Leafpool falls in love with a wind clan cat(I will not reviel the name). There are lots of complications though. Leafpool can't fall in love because she is a medicine cat and they are not aloud to fall in love, espetialy a cat from another clan. Squirrelflight trusts Brambelclaw less and less the more he trusts Hawkfrost. I cant blame him though. Leafpool runs off with the other cat from wind clan so the can be togeather. On there way they meet Mi...more

I have just finished reading Warriors the New Prophecy: Twilight by Erin Hunter. This story, like the one before it, revolves around Squirrelflight and her sister Leafpool. While Squirrelflight is wondering if she is beginning to trust Brambleclaw again, Leafpool is faced with her love for Crowfeather that is not meant to be. Leafpool begins to meet him at night and learns secrets of her friends: Brambleclaw who is meeting his blood thirsty father, Tigerclaw, in his dreams and Mothwing who doesn...more

This is truly a masterpiece in this genre of books. Erin Hunter really brings to life the divisions between the Clans and loyalties. It portrays love between cats (If you want to know between WHICH cats, please click on the "spoiler" link below. I am warning you, if you don't want this book spoiled, IGNORE the "spoiler link. Ok, "spoiler" link, here comes! (I am warning you, please don't read this, because you will get a very nice book spoiled.) Well technically, if you haven't read Starlight th...more

I completed this one in fairly short order this weekend, mostly on Sunday when I was letting my back recuperate after helping move some friends into their new apartment on Saturday. I surely did need the downtime! Anyway, this book is the 5th of this second series of books about a large group of anthropomorphic cats living in the wild, divided into four clans, and experiencing the harsh realities of life.

This book in my mind is a bit of a filler before the 6th and final book of this series. It...more

I chose this book because it is the fifth book in the New Prophecy arc. In this book, the four Clans begin to seperate to their own territories, an divisions begin to deepen. Leafpool also deals with her own problem; becoming interested in WindClan warrior Crowfeather. In the end, she leaves the Clan, but is called back when badgers attack ThunderClan. Her beloved mentor, Cinderpelt, ends up being killed, leaving Leafpool sole medicine cat of ThunderClan. My favorite quote is "It would have made...more

This was an alright entry in this series, probably one of the better ones so far, though it doesn't come without it's flaws.

Let me get it out of the way right off: the romance falls flat for me in these; it just doesn't work with the premise. Once again, I'm getting the feeling like the whole "cat" angle is tacked on. Cats are generally pretty promiscuous, and I just can't believe this all too human angst, regardless of whether it was to hop on the emo romance bandwagon that's crashing through...more

Warriors: Twilight by Erin Hunter (Unit 2)

What did I like and dislike about the novel?

Erin Hunter is great in the way she personified the characteristics of the felines throughout the novel. In the novel, the cats have the ability to communicate verbally to each other through a process referred to as meowing. The conflicts and hostile attitudes of the inhabitants of the new lands made life rough for the ThunderClan. It also maintained a great amount of suspense. Also H...more

This is the fifth of six books in the Warriors: The New Prophecy series. It appears to be one of several series about wild cats. With more than 300 pages, this is a great book for older children to start expanding their reading comprehension abilities and challenging themselves with longer books.

I love books that get our girls excited to read and this series did that for our youngest. She is in love with this series! I like to read whatever they are reading, so we can chat about the stories and...more

A cat named Leafpool has to choose between love and her clan duties, while her sister is having problems with her mate Brambleclaw.
One of my favorite of all the Warriors books, I love this book so much because you get into the mind if Squirrelflight, one if my favorite warriors, and Leafpool, the Thunderclan's medicine cat.
I would recommend this to anybody who has read and enjoyed all the Warriors books before this one.

“[Leafpool] waved her tail in greeting as she padded past Cloudtail and Daisy; as she left the clearing she heard Cloudtail meowing, "This time try to pretend I'm a badger and I'm going to eat your kits."
"But my kits really like you," Daisy protested.”
