Is this book dated? My, yes. When the author starts talking about the hope brought about by a reunified Germany and the continuing threat of communism, you know you're in for some oldies but goodies.
Is this book cheesy? Again, yes. My first Schuller read was "Tough Times Never Last, but Tough People Do!". It was a timely read and this book was no different in that respect. It underscores the importance of positive thinking and continued faith in God despite the negative circumstance. Though first published in 1991, 20 years later it still is relevant.
I haven't read a bad book by Robert Schuller, and this one is no exception. After reading the eight chapters in this book, you can be a living testimony that life's not fair - but God is good! Reminders we all need now and then.
