I felt this to be a resonable book - I recognised the purpose of it and even saw it fulfilled, the argumentation was sound and the language had a flow to it, that made it easier to follow. There were, however, som low points to this book as well. For instance, I didn't really like the last chapter, where Chazan spent 4/5 of it arguing against the results of Jeremy Cohen, who has written a book on the same subject.
