Notes to Reviewers and Readers:
First, the Blood-Hunter race or Elders have been on Earth for thousands of years. Because of this, they do not use contractions like I'm, don't or can't. They communicate in a more refined way because of their age.

Second, there are several OLD editions out in circulation of my books. Please leave a review on the current edition. Please feel free to contact me, Emily, at guido.emily@gmail.com to check the edition you have is the recent edition.

Don’t you just love to hate the bad guys? Lord Cromwell has been an excellent adversary through most of the series. In Ransom we learn more about this fascinating man. The family visit to Disney Land added a light moment in the book, and the author took that time to explain more about Dmitri’s children. I loved the excitement of the battle back in Romania, the development of Lord Cromwell, of who and what he is, his final resolution. This book ends with a bang! With the Family’s added responsibi...more

After reading Charmeine and falling in love with all the characters, I couldn't wait to read the second one, and Ransom did not disappoint.

Filled with twists and turns that you did not see coming, i was held enthralled from the time i started the novel.

Emily's style of writing is different and I love it! It has a way of making you feel like you are there with them. She describes thing in detail but not in a way where you wish the author would get to the point.

Charmeine and Tabbruis' relationship...more

4.5 Drops Review

I read these two books as a back-to-back read and loved them even more than the first three! WOW! The Queen of Light and King of Darkness are back with more adventure, love, trauma, and delicious vampire vs angel vs human stories.

The love between Char and Tab is put to the test as a group of Blood Hunters arrive at the castle requesting their presence in Athens. But, what they don’t know is that it’s just a diversion. The real goal is to let Bathsheba get to Charmeine, the very p...more

The Second book in The Light-Bearer Series called Ransom is a continuation of the trials and tribulations of Tabbruis and Charmeine's love story. Tabbruis and Charmeine are God's soldiers and have been sent to earth to battle Satan's minions. But having to fight Hell's minions is far from their only problems... The peace of their happy home at Castle Carmeine is shattered when the Guards of the Elder Council are sent to collect Charmeine and Tabbrius to deal with the Chaos of uniting the Blood-H...more

Charmeine is a Light-Bearer sent to Earth by God to battle Lucifer's minions. By looking into your eyes she can tell if you are lying. Her powers are growing and no one, including herself, is aware of just how powerful she is. Tabbruis is a Blood-Hunter, he needs blood to survive. While human blood is the best, he has given up human blood (unless it is given voluntarily) and exists on animal blood. He is very smart and capable and is trying to get all other Blood-Hunters to stop hunting humans....more

The wait is finally over! The second novel by Emily Guido is here, and it is the second novel in her light-bearer series. Beware as always for some spoilers and here is my review:

Wow, I really was looking forward to this second novel, because I liked the first one big time, and this one didn’t disappoint me. I love the way Emily writes. She describes people in her book in such a way you can see them just the way she pictured it. It makes you wish they are all real and you can just book a trip to...more

I have to say that I was waiting for this second novel to come out! I knew her first book, Charmeine, was a great read. This one, did not disappoint. The story is very unusual and at each time something predictable was going to happen, it didn't. It has a ton of twists and turns, so it kept me hooked. Now, I guess I should explain that I am not a reader. I mean, I would be watching football any day, but I read the first and it was great. So now, I have read this one and it was just as good. So I...more

Charmeine and Tabbruis are in Disney World with their family, enjoying a day at the happiest place in the world. During this day, Percival meets the girl from his dreams and it is up to Charmeine, Tabbruis, Shane, Sandra, Dmitri and Percival to convince his mother, Hera, that he is ready to fall in love. Little does this family know how special this girl, Carly, is and how painful a past she has lived. As Charmeine and Shane get to know Carly, they realize this girl has a bit more in common with...more

Emily Guido is a very new Young Adult, Paranormal Romance Author. She was inspired to start writing "The Light-Bearer Series" because one day she got an idea of two light and dark characters who have an epic romance. A week later, Emily had over a 100,000 words written. When she writes, she pictures the characters in her head going through vivid descriptions of each scene. She has written five no...more
