predictable. old school. but it entertained me for a day. i skimmed towards the end b/c it was getting late and i just had to know how all the loose ends would tie up. i was sad when i realized that there was no connection with the loose ends and it wasn't really a mystery kind of book at all. (and that's what i get from reading the back of the book first - it led me on!!!)
ps - i hate it when characters in books say each others names every single time they talk to them! drrrrrr More...

Writing is strangely formal, more like reading a transcript than a novel. Too many extraneous; needless characters. Way too descriptive. There's little flow to the narrative. Overly long with too much build up and too little pay off. Don't think I'll read this author again.

This is lively and suspenceful and all about secrets. The kind that can break your heart and the kind that can set you free. Barbara Taylor Bradford can always tell a good story.

This book was okay. It had too many random side stories for me. It didn't seem to flow very well.

Read this book in middle school and I loved it. Not sure it is really my style of book anymore but at the time I was completely sold on the book, so much that I couldn't get rid of it. I think I will need to read it again now that I am grown to see what I think of it now... since I still have it.

I really enjoyed this one. I had forgotten the title but remembered the story. I just found it on my shelf and plan on rereading it soon.

Just awful... I had to stop reading it midway through before it took away my sanity completely. I wish I could give -5 stars.

I listened to this in audio. Held my interest, but I felt the author talks a bit too much. Should be more concise.
