The third book of the Left Behind series focuses on the rise of the man known by Christians to be the AntiChrist in the last days on Earth. Of course, the story is not told from Carpathia’s perspective, but from that of the believers we already know and love – Chloe, Buck, and Ray. Ray and Buck struggle with the most evil boss in the world, the Tribulation force grows larger (and smaller), rescue missions take front and center, and intense Internet proselytizing begins. Just another chapter...more

This book picks up where the last one left off, with Steele going to fly the new Global Community plane for Carpathia and Buck finding out about the slaughter of his friend Tsion's family.
As the bombing of major cities by the Global Community starts WWIII, Steele is equipped to listen to everything said beyond his cockpit by a secret intercom system installed for him by the maker of the plane and his good friend Earl.
Buck makes a trip overseas to save Tsion and brings him back to the c...more

Blogger and journalist Fred Clark has repeatedly attacked the book as being "Bad Writing and Bad Theology"[1:] in a long running series of weekly posts[2:]. He feels that after the Rapture the people of the world, including the heroes of the story, assimilate the disappearance of all the world's children with a monstrous rapidity that displays the ways that the authors have allowed their checklist of prophecies to be fulfilled to outweigh the consequences these events would have on the...more

The Left Behind series is very interesting reading. It is a Christian series, but isn't too over the top as far as pushing a certain viewpoint.
I really want to edit what I am reading. This is the 3rd book in a series of I think 17 or something. I don't think I will continue reading them. I have a little less than 100 pages in Nicolae and the authors have really dropped the ball! I'm a little disappointed because these books were pretty easy reads and very interesting at first. An excerpt from the book: Jesus had already paid the penalty. The work has been done. Are we to live good lives? Are we to do the best we can? Are we to think of others and live in peace? Of course! But to earn our salvation? Scripture is clear that we are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves; not of works, lest anyone should boast. We live our lives in as righteous a manner as we can in thankful response to that priceless gift of God, our salvation, freely paid...more

The third volume in the Left Behind series begins to pick up again with the rise of the Anti-Christ. Nevertheless, the book suffers from the same issues that I had raised in my earlier reviews. I stopped reading these books after this one, but I may I pick Book IV down the line and eventually attempt to finish it. The good thing about the repetitive nature of the books in the series is that readers can't wait for long periods of time be...more

Out of all the books I have read in my life this one was the one that made me read at night up until 3:00 a.m becuase it was mind blowing every time I turned the page. The first 2 books were alright but when i got to this one I just couldnt stop reading it. One of my favorite puts of the story were in the middle and the end if this book. If you liked the first and second part then you would love the third book.

I think this is the one where the Antichrist proves his evilness by embracing all religions & espousing a humanist philosophy. (Sounds like someone has an agenda here.) This is the last book I read in the series. It's pretty hilarious. Also, I believe a good portion of the book is little more than an advertisement for the Land Rover. If you're an agnostic, this book will make you an atheist.

This book was interesting. It seems the evangelical crown believes that the antichrist will be killed at the close of a fourteen year period and then satan will resurrect him for an additional three and a half years. I have never heard this before and I wonder where they got it from. Finishes by covering the great earthquake all over the globe and the moon turning blood red.

These books were not very eventful. When you read the info it makes you think there is going to be so much action and so much drama and just OMG. No, it's the total opposite, it moves so slow and like one thing happens and it's at the END of the book. But for some reason you can't stop reading them, you have to go onto the next one.
I think it's a religious conspiracy.

I'm afraid if I say anything beyond this series is compelling, I will give away the plot of the serires for those who want to read it. I will just say that when I finish one book in the Left Behind series, I immediately pick up the next one.
I must also recommend the series on audio - I am listening to most of it - with Richard Ferrone as the narrator.

The Left Behind series is an interesting FICTIONAL depiction of what things may be like during the 'end times' foretold of in the biblical book of Revelations. The writing is very good and the characters are well developed. The critical part in this mass media juggernaut that has become a world-wide sensation is to remember that it is FICTION.

More doom and gloom in the Left Behind series but this one at least isn't pure drivel. However, its only recommended for those who really are into the pro-Christian religious fiction. This one got higher marks than most of the others in the series because I have a penchant for destruction which this one had a fair amount of.

I liked this one better than the 2nd in the series. It was not as evil and dark as I anticipated it to be, which helped! The story flowed much better. I saw more of the religious differences that I expected to see from the start, but nothing "strange" or anything. I still look forward to reading more.

This book is actually pretty good, though still loaded with preachy messages, it had its good points. I like it but the preaching is starting to get a little tiresome. I am goign to stop reading the series for a while and come back later, want to see if that helps. So, I am giving it a pass for now.

This entire series was great! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and made me excited for the next book to come out. It wasn't a "preachy" book but at the same time did witness. My review will be the same for all the books in the series. Well worth reading!!

This book was definately a "goodread." It starts off really good then slows down a bit, but the end of the book is amazing. Definately the best out of the first 3.
Again, even if you are not extremely religious these are very good books.

Given my view of religion and especially Evangelical Christianity, I'm surprised I enjoyed this so much. If you can get passed the bias towards and propaganda for this type of Christianity, it's really an entertaining read.

This whole series is thought provoking, but I became bored with it by book four and couldn't seem to get the series done. I didn't like the way the characters basically didn't do much of anything to convert others.

I began realizing that the beginning of each book of this series, reviews parts of the previous books in the series. I don't like that. But other than that...these books won't let me put them down. I'm hooked!
