Sebelumnya, thx to Mba yang udah maksa nraktir gua untuk beli buku ini, hehehe...
Anyway, bukunya belum selesai gua baca. But I knew this book is a must for Coelho's lover. Terutama buat yang mo jadi Warrior of the Light *wink*. Nasehat-nasehat di buku ini bagus. Disampaikan dengan cara bercerita khas Coelho. Ga menggurui. Tapi dalem dan tepat sasaran, kalo gua boleh bilang.
Gua aja yang baru baca beberapa halaman, sampe mules n merinding bacanya. Belum lagi perasaan di-*dzigh* sama cerita...more

Paulo Coelho always does an amazing job of bringing spiritual teachings into everyday life. This manual was a gift from a friend and it touched upon almost every hardship and joy that I have encountered in the past few years. For someone as secular as I, it really shed light upon how religion and spirituality can be so important in one's everyday life. The vocabulary in this book is rudimentary at best. Many of the ideas are not original and Coehlo contradicts himself numerous times. The book was originally written in Portuguese, which I believe accounts for some the akward sentence structure. Although it makes some good points about general living, I found it redundant and many of the antics seemed like attempts for Coehlo to rationalize some of his personal "flaws" in everyday living. I must admit, at first, this was hard for me to get into... it was written in a semi-cryptic format, with what I knew to be great insights partially obscured by artful prose. But as I got some momentum with it, it became an extremely helpful book for me. It really speaks to those who are seekers, always asking themselves larger questions than most people around them, and who falter along the way. Highly recommended. Another quick Coelho book. I've realized I don't really care for his more spiritual/personal books, and strongly prefer his fiction. This book leans more towards the former category, but because it is comprised of quick inspirational anecdotes, I was able to enjoy it. It's sort of coffee table self help-y, but sometimes that can be nice.

An actual manual if you'd like to get some pretty realistic good guidance. It has some references from the Bible and proverbs and other sayings that will give you a helo on top of your head <grins>
My reminder would be, read this book according to your pace and stay away from it if you want and get back to it again if you need to. Otherwise it's like attending unwanted mass or prayer.

If you like 'the alchemist', it's no wonder this will tap your interest as well. I always thought of marking my favorite lines in the alchemist, but then this book did it for me. It is a collection of adages which was briliantly organized and more were added which can be a guide for the journey of the 'warrior of the light' in each of us. A great companion for 'the alchemist'.

People who like pop psychology self help crap
This was a book club choice and chosen mainly because we were looking for a book in Spanish that would be a fairly easy read. I thought the overarching story of the boy on the beach was worthless and the "advice" on being a warrior of the light was contradictory and simplistic. If vaguely spiritualistic babble really motivates you - this is your book.

Hal pertama yang saya lakukan ketika selesai membaca 1 halaman dari buku ini adalah..... Tidur nyenyak. Karena saya fikir saya sudah melakukan hal yang juga sudah dilakukan oleh sang Warrior of Light.
Hal kedua yang saya sadari ketika membaca halaman demi halaman adalah...... saya tidak bijak dalam mengambil keputusan dan menyikapi resikonya.

This book is really a collection of meditations. I just read them through from beginning to end, but I plan on reading it again taking one passage and reflecting on it, perhaps several times a day. I was somewhat put off by the "violent" language used (warrior, swords, battle, etc.) but found that they do serve as a good metaphor.

Really a manual book. Teach how to act, how to think, how to face a defeat, how to celebrate a victory and many more. After finish this book continue directly read The Godfather (Mario Puzo), you will become an angel and a devil in the same time and you will learn the meaning of true friendship!!

A challenge to the spirit. A guide to those who are lost in questions. Coelho's writings seem to feed the soul of those, like myself, who have always felt unsettled in the normal way of things. Is there more to life than this and more importantly how does one attempt to find it out?

A guide to be a real warrior, who lies deep down in our soul.
It's really fascinating. Like a guide book to be a grateful and happy man, but it doesn't teach us. It just shows us how the Warrior act.
Overall, it's a story for self improvement.

This book i read when i have been work assignment with under-pressure situation, (O ye..*yawn*) lucky, with this book makes me being a warrior to motivate and to encourage for accepting all condition would happened. Such good read book from paulo coelho.

This book changed my life. In a time when you would've thought I had to attend anger management courses this book helped me realize my strengths. This book was used as a daily guide and source of inspiration, a guide that I am very thankful.

Another wonderful book by Paulo Coelho. The book helped me better understand my day-to-day thoughts, decisions and actions. Sometimes, I felt that Paulo was talking directly to me. I'm sure many readers felt the same way.
