Infelizmente, não foi terminado.
Marguerite Yourcenar escreve de um modo maravilhoso. Adoro como ela conta a história de Jeanne e do Conde d'A, o erotismo da relação deles, feita de escuridão, terra e noite.
Egon é interessante, a fonte do livro Alexis ou Tratado do Vão Combate.
Michel é novamente fantástico, nesse livro pelo amor de sua vida (e a briga no Louvre) e pela criação que deu à filha. Marguerite Yourcenar foi criada lendo Chateaubriand e Racine, aprendendo latim, inglês e grego ainda cri...more

Yourcenar was born Marguerite Antoinette Jeanne Marie Ghislaine Cleenewerck de Crayencour in Brussels, Belgium to Michel Cleenewerck de Crayencour, of French aristocratic descent, and a Belgian mother who died ten days after her birth. She grew up in the home of her paternal grandmother.
