Book 9 in Ms. Sands Argeneau Vampire series.
This is one of Lynsay Sands best books in the Argeneau series. We finally get to read Marguerite’s story…her whole story that is. On her new career, training to be a PI with Tiny (contracted by Christian Notte to find his long-lost mother), she meets her lifemate Julius Notte (Christian’s father). Someone is trying to kill Marguerite, someone doesn’t want Marguerite and Tiny to succeed, and Julius won’t leave her side to be butchered, literally, by so...more

Am I the only one who felt uncomfortable about Marguerites book? I mean, she's like.. the mother. Also, this book was rather dissappointing. I didn't understand why Marguerite and Julius were.. Well, whatever. What I really, really didn't like was the family part.
You'd think Marguerite would behave differently, but she doesn't. The end of the book seems too convinient for my tastes, but they always do. 'They' meaning the Argeneau novels.
Whatever, Tiny was there and I like Tiny. *dances the Tiny...more

The most heavily plotted and mysterious of all the Argeneau books, Vampire, Interrupted (a very apt title) reveals what happened to Margeurite when Thomas and Inez were trying to find her in Vampires Are Forever, and many skeletons come out of the closet in the process. I don't want to give anything away, but sadly the family tree that the books include at the beginning does. You might want to avoid looking at it until, say, halfway through, or the surprise is ruined (though you can probably fig...more

Marguerite Argeneau is now trying to find her own life after a dismal 500 year long marriage. She has raised her four children and helped them find lifemate and now she wants her own adventure. At Christian Notte’s request she decides to try her hand at becoming a private investigator. Christian is on a mission to uncover what has happened to his mother. He has tried asking his father Julius but all he will say is she is dead. What Christian does not know is that his father keeps secrets because...more
I have to hand it to Lynsay Sands; she has stuck with this world for a really, really long time. Her vampires are descendants of Atlantis, who invented nanobots to help heals those who are hurt. However, the nanobots didn’t just fix the injury, since the human body is constantly decaying, once introduced, the nanos keep working, using blood to keep going. However, they don’t produce enough blood to keep the nanos working, so they have to drink blood from other sources. They have fangs, the abili...more
We have all enjoyed seeing Marguerite's matchmaking abilities being used on her children, but the tables have turned. It is now Marguerite's turn to finally find her one true love.
This installment in the argeneau series is one of the best yet. Marguerite's story is even more complicated and full of twists and turns that will keep readers on their toes. I really liked getting to know more about Marguerite's history and herself in general in this book. She really is a great mom and wonderful woman...more

Review: ‘Vampire, Interrupted’ is a dazzling novel that will provide hours of entertainment with the anxiously awaited story of Marguerite Argeneau. Learning to be a private investigator, Marguerite is excited when her first case brings her to England with the task of finding an immortals mother. After someone attempts to behead her while sleeping, she realizes there is more to this case than just finding a missing immortal. Julius Notte wants to protect Marguerite and keep the secrets that he’s...more

I wanted to read Marguerite's book ever since I met her. After 700 years of misery she deserved to find her life-mate and have her HEA. And now I finally got to see her find it and it was fun.
What Sands does best is making the books light, all while making them exciting and passionate. In this one Marguerite is trying to find a woman and someone does not want that do happen. Even as someone is trying to kill her there is still that lightness over the book and I like that. I also like that the bo...more

Vampire, Interrupted by Lynsay Sands is a fantasy book about a few vampires, secrets, and action. She wrote this book to say don’t judge and persecute someone without all the facts. Just go with your heart and mind, don’t go on rumors and hatred. GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT FIRST. That is what I think Lynsay’s goal in trying to teach from the book. If Julius just trusted Marguerite’s dictions they would not be in most of the messes they were in. If Marguerite trusted Julius’s judgment or reasons so m...more
First warning to those who intend on reading the book: I know it helps keep all the Argeneaus straight, but for the sake of mystery, skip the family tree in the front of the book this time around! Just trust me.
In Vampire, Interrupted Lynsay Sands changes her normal scheme up a bit & comes up with what I think is by far the best book in the Argeneau series so far. Normally her books involve one Argeneau or another finding their lifemate in some way or another, getting to know & falling i...more

Some people didn't like reading this book as it is about the mother of the vampires in the previous books but I was looking foreward to reading her story and hopefully understanding her and her past a bit more and this book didn't disappoint.

I really enjoyed the story. I couldn't predict the villains. I was following it the same way the characters were in the book, yet you could tell the plot wasn't wrapped up just to do it. I appreciated the work the author put into weaving the story over the last few books and wrapping it up in this novel.
Even though you have a bunch of Argeneau family members finding their HEA, it was sad to see how much the patriarch/matriarch suffered in the early days. Jean-Claude was painted as such an ass, h...more

I was happily surprised by this book, especially since it involved the romance between a much older couple (Hello!!! Marguerite had 4 kids before this story began). However, of all the Argeneau stories, I really liked this story the most. Not simply because just it was a supernatural romance but because of the mystery involved in this story. Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series usually included stories involving one vampire who finds his or her lifemate in a human, they fall in love and the lifemate is...more
Fantastic! This might be my favorite book in the Argenau novel's!
This book centers around family matriarch Marguerite Argeneau. She is currently working as a P.I trying to help Christian Notte discover his long lost mother. His father, Julius, refuses to tell him his mother's name and every P.I he has ever hired, is scared off by Julius.
Marguerite is determined to help Christian, and then she is attacked in her hotel room and almost beheaded. Christian's father shows up and ends up revealing tha...more

I have enjoyed all of the Lynsay's Sands books they are fast paced, humorous, enjoyable, and a fun read. If you are looking for vampiric angst, dark fantasy or shocking horror you won’t find it here but this light-hearted romance. The Argeneau vampires are not traditional vampires, they call themselves Immortals and the only traits that they share with vampires are longevity, strength, mind control abilities and a hunger for blood. They are not undead, they can go out in the day, eat garlic, have...more

Nun jedoch wird in “Vampire sind die beste Medizin” ihre Geschichte erzählt und der Weg zu dem Glück, das ihr bisher verweigert worden war.

Such a tragic love story! Marguerite's story is one with many twists and turns.
Marguerite is investigating the birth of Christopher Notte and trying to find his mother for him. She meets Julius Notte and is instantly attracted. They are lifemates. Lifemates that were separated many years ago by a jealous evil person who pretended to be a loving member of their family.
Marguerite's memory of Julius and their life together is completely wiped. Julius joins his son Christopher and Marguerite on the...more

First: Skip the family tree at the beginning! It contains a spoiler!!!!
Although a fun read, with a lot more mystery and not so much romance, this one is my least favorite so far. It was slow in places, and the lead characters were frustratingly immature at times, despite having several lifetimes of experience. The mystery was kind of compacted into the last 50 pages, complete with a bad guy speech about the hows and whys of the evil plan.

I'm continuing to read this series helter skelter, based on book availability at the library. As a result, I'm always a little off in my ability to keep track of who's on first! This book is about Marguerite Argeneau finding her true lifemate, Julius Notte. The Argeneau's and Notte's end up joining forces to rescue Marguerite. They also discover a new family connection in Christian. Actually, it's all starting to make more sense to me now. I plan to read the entire series because now that I'm ge...more
Marguerite is absolutely one of my favorite in the series!
I feel so torn up to learn about her history .... her tragic marriage with Jean Claude( who turned out to be isn't a mean bad evil person after all, and I feel bad for his misfortune as well )
however had Marguerite hadn't lost her memory and went back with Jean Claude we wouldn't have met the others Ageneau at all!

So this was really the first one that was part of a larger interconnecting story arc. Actually, it was the end of the arc.
I liked that about it.
I didn't like the characters at all for the first part of the book. Julius just kind of bugged me, and so did Marguerite. Which is funny since she's been around since the very beginning. I guess it was just weird because she is the matriarch of the family so thinking of her in sexual encounters just kind of made me wiggy. Which is absolutely hilarious co...more

I loved this book. I am a total vampire fan. It only took one book for me to get hooked on this excellent series. Anyone that is a fan of the Argeneau vampires wont be disappointed with this book. As a matter of fact, I think everyone will be thrilled with Marguerite finally finding love after playing matchmaker to her kids and numerous nieces and nephews.
There was alot of background in this story and I loved that. I'm not going to go any farther, so I wont give away any of the story.

First things first...DO NOT READ THE FAMILY TREE IN THE BEGINNING. DON'T DO IT.
I wish I would have read the reviews here before diving in. Of course, I studied the family tree and spoiled the whole mystery of the book, spending the first half of the book distracted wondering...why and how?
This is the crown jewel folks and is the BEST out of all 9 books (so far...). I admit I was a little iffy on a book about Marguerite. This is the matriarch of the family and she's going to fall lifemate to some...more

I'll admit that I was pretty apprehensive about starting this book. It just seemed kind of icky to be reading about a romance between grandparents. I have to admit, though, it was very tastefully done. When Marguerite and Julius are alone, you forget that they're supposed to be so old. I alos loved the many twists in this one. I figured everything out pretty early on, but even though I was fairly certain what the end result would be, I had to keep reading, to see how how they would get to that p...more
In my opinion, this is one of the best in the Argeneau series. In the others, it felt like the danger element was just inserted to bring the two character together but in this entry it's always present. The mystery plot is excellent and brings in background on the family itself which the reader should appreciate if they have followed the series. If you haven't and this is the fist entry you've read, don't fret as it's perfectly accessible. It will be more rewarding if you've read at least a few...more

“Okay," Christian said with a great show at maintaining his patience. "So you can't dance. But you could at least talk to the woman."
Julius frowned and avoided his gaze. "I am talking."
"You aren't," Christian insisted. "You haven't said more than a handful of words."
Scowling, he admitted, "I'm practicing in my head."
Christian blinked at this. "Practicing?"
"Well, you don't just blurt out the first thing that comes to mind," Julius said with exasperation. "I have to approach this carefully, so I'm practicing."
"In your head?" Christian clarified.
"Yes." Julius nodded. "In my head."
"Right....Good, good," he nodded, and then said "but you know what would be even better?"
Julius raised his eyebrows with interest. "What?"
"Talking to her OUT LOUD!" Christian snapped. "Jesus Christ, Father, you're as old as the earth. You run a huge corporation, dealing with people-even women-day in day out. Surely you can string a couple of words together and manage a little conversation with the woman?”
