I started the book without reading the abstract. As I already read like seven books written by Barjavel, I thought it was going to be exciting, with a main strong idea to think about. But I was really disappointed to see that there was nothing "special" here, "just" a love story. It's not that I don't like these kind of stories, but Tarendol and Marie could not make me happy about their story and I did not even care of knowing if they were going to meet again or not.
