حين قرأت الكتاب لأول مرة لم أستطع إكمال القراءة. حاولت مرة ثانية وثالثة ولا فائدة. حتى جاءت تلك اللحظة التي استطعت فيها معرفة أفكار باشلار وطريقته في الكتابة والتحليل النفسي للمادة. باشلار يكتب الفلسفة شعراً. هو يلجأ للشعر في تحليله للماء.
هذه قراءة نشرتها قبل ثلاث سنوات عن الكتاب والفكرة عموماً

Bachelard parece ter uma ideia concreta do que quer desenvolver com os outros elementos. Diferentemente da psicanálise do fogo, aqui há mais detalhes sobre o elemento. Destaque para o capítulo dedicado à àguas de Edgar Allan Poe.
