<3 you Bertie.
I read this when I still had a bit of an attitude problem and took writers very personally. Russell writes like he's writing a piece for Huffington Post, not a philosophical treatise. Maybe he would annoy me less now, but "nuclear war is a bad idea" is not what I would consider a major contribution to philosophical discourse.
When I was in high school, I used to take this book to parties because it fit into my back pocket so I could just hide in a corner somewhere and read it rather than talk to people.
I'm a lot more fun at parties now.
