This is a type of book I usually do not read, but besides always looking to expand my horizons, I saw the words "Football Player" and "Movie Star" and "love" and I took the bait.

It was not a bad story by any means. I just believe the dialogue was very simple and the story a little predictable.

The story was about a nice (Timothy) guy who meets a nice girl (Mona). He has always been a football star and plans to be a top draft pick in the NFL when he leaves college this year. She has always been in

Do you like a nice clean no swearing, Contemporary/Christian book... then Stars Shine After Dark is definitely for you!

Mona is a young childhood star and is starting to feel drained/tired of acting. She would like a break and wants to go off to college. When she goes to college she see this hunky football star Tim. When they meet things change and they want one another, but can it last or be another celebrity divorce?

Tim is a football star and doesn't drink/party like typical football players.

I felt that Paula did a great job in the creation of this story"Stars Shine After Dark." She portrayed the story of an actress and a to be professional football player and how after the accident that Tim had in his car after having been almost signed up to play for a team and all the problems they had gone through both individually and as a couple . And how they finally was able to come back to their true love of each other. It was a very, very interesting love/ romance and mystery all in one ...more

Stars Shine After Dark is a beautiful novel.

Mona, a young movie star, and Tim, a star quarterback, meet at UCLA. Until then, both haven’t done anything else but work on their careers since childhood. Both are stars in their own rights. They are used to working hard, getting things their way, and being admired for it. They fall in love. After a short courtship they get married. Mona wants to put her career on the backburner and follow Tim, wherever he will get drafted to.

The day before Tim signs

Stars Shine After Dark is a story of a man and a woman who are both used to the limelight and how they deal with it after marriage and through personal loss. Since the couple unites near the beginning of the book and the story deals with their marital and personal issues, I would classify this story as women’s fiction rather than romance.

That said, I found this story to be a satisfying read about human emotions. The author does an excellent job of relating how the characters feel on a deep level

People don't always live happily ever after, but they can live happily with effort.
Mona is an actress, a child star, who wants a more mature image. She decides to take time off and go to college, where she meets Tim, the star quarterback. It all seems so perfect until a car crash ends his career. Mona is a survivor, so she fires up her career to take care of the medical bills and all. Tim becomes jealous of her success, and wants out of the marriage. With the help of a friend and with contemplat

Having read this author before, I was glad to receive a copy of this book to review. I came at this book with high expectations and was disappointed. The book started out well enough but then seemed to take the style of a Harlequin romance. Typos (a pet peeve of mine) were also an issue for me. It is a clean romance, with several sweet moments, but was almost predictable and leaves you looking for the moment that grabs you. I did like the way that the characters were fully developed and how you ...more

Same old, same old plot line, nothing new. Mona is an actress, marries Tim and shuts him out.
