I was very happy that I had bought all three books at once so there was no down time from one book to the next. However, the only thing that threw me was the differnt point of view. For a minute I thought I had grabbed the wrong book. However, you get use to it after a while, perhaps if I had given a little bit of time from the first book to the second, the switch wouldn't have been so jarring. However, this is a great continuation of the series, and an excellent read.

The second book in the Song of Alboin Trilogy. We find Lewis [Now Llew:] thrust into a rapidly deteriorating world of treachery and violence. The series loses nothing in this second book and in fact gains pace.
It is also interesting that the nararation switched perspectives to that of Llews friend and Bard. At first this seems an odd choice, however it really allows you to explore the world and characters better.

This is the second book in the series, I finished this book in about 8 - 10 hours. I had just finished the first in the series and was curious as to what happened next. I opened up this book and didn't put it down until I was completely done with it. A great book that I would recommend to anyone.

It was interesting that he switched narrators between the first and second books. Again, I didn't like the main characters as much as I usually would like to like the main characters, but I liked one of the friends of the protagonist.

My favorite of the Albion series. You can loose yourself in these books. His story telling is so tightly interwoven with actual mythology you will loose track of where one stops and the other starts.

The P.O.V changed during this second book of the Song of Albion trilogy. At first, it put me off the book a bit, but as I continued reading, I really enjoyed the fresh perspective.

Lawhead does a great job of evoking anger and frustration throughout the book - kind of a stressful read until the very end, which although good, had potential to be better.

This series isn't as good as some of his other books, but I liked this one a bit better than the first. If nothing else, it's an entertaining story.

This is book #2 of the group and is a pure fantasy lover's delight. This episode is told from the angle of a blind man, which is refreshingly different.

recommends it for:
the hopeless.
I read this on my honeymoon...it's engaging and interesting, especially since Lawhead is obviously well-versed in Celtic and medieval traditions.

Good again. The world painted is very vivid and beautiful. The characters are strong and interesting, too.
