Ever since I started leaning more and more towards the "non-violence" position within Christianity the death penalty is something that I've wrestled with a lot. This book, though not necessarily coming from the non-violence/pacifism position makes a pretty great case for why the death penalty, at least in America, should be abolished.

I found this book absolutely fascinating even though it read like a text book. I started to skim the pages through parts because I feared I would never get through it. I love the fact that Recinella has done his research and is able to point out specific Bible passages that don't support the death penalty (or at least the way America carries out the death penalty). I feel better equipped to make an argument on the matter now that I've read this book.
