The Boy Who Did Not Like Television is a wonderful story of young boy who one wish is that his parents would turn off the television and turn their attention to him instead. This distresses his parents, but eventually they come to realize that their son is more entertainment than television could ever be and they all spend happier times together.

Shelves: fiction, picturebook
This is rather obnoxiously didactic with no trimmings beyond a not-so-subtle plea to spend family time instead of watching TV. Which is not to say that I don't agree with the sentiment- I'm no big fan of TV myself, although I do find it rather addicting. However,the story doesn't have any meat to it- taking the nameless boy to a doctor, teacher, and then a wizard to try to fix him? I mean, come on! Será injusto pôr qualquer pontuação para um livro que li e ouvi com uma criança que frequenta o 1º Ciclo.

Pode-se dizer que apesar de tudo, este pequeno e ilustrado livro transmite até aos que acompanham as crianças na leitura, uma grande conclusão...

Por vezes, substituimos o carinho, amor e simplicidade com a tecnologia, televisão... O tempo útil é mal utilizado.

Daí que apesar de tudo e introduzindo-me num contexto de 1º Ciclo, atribuo a este livro 3 estrelas.
