I'm very biased. Don't go by my 5 star rating.

I'm running a little behind and had to push back the release date to the end of May, but I promise to try to get it in your hands ASAP.I swear I'm not slacking, I just want it to be as great as it can be, and don't want to rush it. You readers deserve better than that.

I don't really know how to write a review but since I promised I would, here goes^^

First of all I have to say...WOW!!! I already loved GAE. But TBF took the story of Maryah and Nathan to a whole new level.

The first thing I liked: There was no big recap of GAE. For some that may be a thing not to like, but I don't buy the second book of a series in order to be told again and again what happened in the first one. I could hug Karen just for this :D

TBF is told from multiple POV. This was really well...more I don't really know how to write a review but since I promised I would, here goes^^

First of all I have to say...WOW!!! I already loved GAE. But TBF took the story of Maryah and Nathan to a whole new level.

The first thing I liked: There was no big recap of GAE. For some that may be a thing not to like, but I don't buy the second book of a series in order to be told again and again what happened in the first one. I could hug Karen just for this :D

TBF is told from multiple POV. This was really well done, because you get to know so much more about the kindrily (especially about Harmony). But there's no "unnatural" (don't know a better word right now) change between the POV. No sudden changes that leave you thinking "Noooooo, why now?"

That brings me to the next point...Harmony. I have to admit I still don't like her. I understand her a lot better now. I understand that under all her insults and hurtful words lies the love for her soul mate and her kindrily. But even so, I don't like how she goes about showing that. She's hundreds of years old (at least her soul and her memories) and still acts like a spoiled little girl when things don't happen how/when she wants it.

But even though I don't like Harmony's personality, I could see more depth in her and all the other characters in TBF. Maybe because you get to know more about their past, but also because of how the story developed. Not just Harmony's, Maryah's and Nathan's story, but everyone's lives changed in some way. Be it something little like turtles, bunnies and candles or something bigger like...well...something bigger^^ (no I won't spoiler. But some biiiig changes are taking place in TBF).

At the end of the book there are a few extra chapters from book three. Also a great plus for me (though I didn't read them yet. I wanted to write my review before that). There's a warning between the "real ending" of TBF and those extra chapters from book three, so if you don't want any spoilers you don't have to read those. But still a great plus for those of us who love spoilers!

And about my reactions to TBF...Let's just say Karen did it again! She is one of the very few authors who can make me laugh, cry, angry and..."hot and bothered" (and a few other things) all in the span of a few sentences. It's a great story and I'm so very grateful to have gotten an ARC and read it just that little bit earlier. TBF deserves nothing less than 5 stars and is already one of my favorites of 2013. Though now I have to search for a song for this book (I have this strange hobby of searching for songs that match my favorite stories. Though I'm afraid it won't be easy with this one, but I'll post it once I find one)(less)

So, a few days ago, you got to read me gushing about book one in this series, Grasping at Eternity. Are you ready for more gushing?

I want you to read this book. I want you to start with GRASPING AT ETERNITY. You must. If you don't, you can't really jump into this book and understand all the little nuances. And because I want you to read it, I need to say something about the end that is not an end. Another "NOT THE END" disclaimer, but this time as I finished reading, there is a note from the author. She didn't want to leave it as a cliffhanger but there is more to say. So she gives you a choice...do you read on or do you wait for the third book, FIGHTING FOR INFINITY?

At the moment I'm writing this, I haven't read on yet. I didn't want to write a review colored by something and the author asks that we not spoil it for others. So I haven't read it yet. She says these chapters/cliffhanger will be the beginning of book three. SO YOU HAVE AN OPTION. Okay. *blows out a breath*

I love the romanticism in this series and this book demonstrates it further. The kindrily and the family they also have that are not elements. The blossoming relationships between people. The depth of love they have for one another. Magic and changes to that magic. Just wonderful. I like watching Maryah develop and find more and more of herself and see her fitting into the mesh more and more easily.

TAKING BACK FOREVER releases on May 31 (TWO DAYS. You can get it in TWO DAYS). I do not have a purchase link for it, but that goodreads button above will take you to goodreads and I'm sure the links will be there for release day. But what are you waiting for? Start with Grasping for Eternity. I mean it...you really need to read that one first. Normally, I'd tell you you can spring board into a series as most series rehash EVERYTHING in the first third of the book. This series does NOT.

We pick up right where we left off in the first book, Maryah having been rescued from River who is now in jail and Maryah is trying to master her astral traveling and regain her erased memories. I loved the idea of Carson’s snow globe and I have a few people in mind that I would like their images copied for just that purpose.

The search is on to find Gregory before it is too late and Harmony is pulling out all the stops to find him, whatever the cost much to the ire of the other Kindrily members. Harmony did get on my nerves in this book as she is a bit abrasive at best. Her taunting of Maryah in hope of shocking her back to her old self made me want to shake some sense into her. I found this book to be more emotionally haunting than the last as it delves into the profound effect that Maryah’s erasing had on not just Nathan but the rest of the Kindrily. I have to wonder what happened to cause her to erase as she was obviously the cornerstone that held them all together so it must have been something so epic that she felt she had no other choice. An emotional rollercoaster ride delving into feelings of sadness, love, guilt and betrayal, grief and even redemption, an awareness that family is all that counts and yet evil forces are conspiring against them.

We are still no closer to the reason why she erased which is frustrating but I guess some secrets need to be revealed in their own time. Nathan was amazing and his devotion to Maryah reminded me of another couple who throughout several lifetimes fought to find their way back to each other yet fate always seemed to have other plans for them and their HEA is put on the back burner. Their rediscovering of each other, having a first date again seemed bittersweet and reminded me of those initial butterflies you get before a first kiss, a first date and so on.

What an ending OMG! I liked the idea of having a choice at the end to either stay with the muted HEA or read on and be perched on the edge of a precipice once again waiting for the answers. I of course, could not wait and had to keep reading. I wish I had Gregory’s gift of reading minds because I would love to be able to read Karen’s mind and see what she has in store for us in the next book, patience is not one of my virtues after all. I would recommend this series and I found it hard to put down, hence I finished it in a day.

Something I really loved about this series is it wasn't a insta love story in the sense of they didn't look into each others eyes and BAM! LOVE! It took some coaching on the kindrilys part to get her there and once she was there the relationship didn't go from 0-60 over night it progressed slowly and with thought. I love how us as the reader are getting to experience their new love right along side them but at the same time were learning about their past along with maryah.

I'm so happy that we got to learn more about some of the other characters, and I gotta say I love Carson!! He didn't really stand out to me in the last book and I'm so happy he got his time to shine!

I still cant start it until at least next week :( But while drawing, this song started to play and its exactly how I imagine Nathaniel is when Grasping at Eternity ends and (hopefully) a few things might be in Taking Back Forever. The song is I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz and I'm all giddy because it goes so much and asdfghjkl <3

I really enjoy reading Taking back forever. On taking back forever you get the opportunity to read from Maryah and Harmony point of view, which I really enjoyed, both point of view blend perfectly no confusing parts between Characters. Every detail is well described I felt like I was in the book at all time, I read it in one day I didn't want to put it down. The book picks up right where "grasping at eternity" left off, that's right no rereading parts from the previous book.
