Taking Back Forever (Kindrily #2)
Forever is worth the fight.
Maryah erased all memory of her past lives, but she couldn’t erase her soul mate Nathan, or his undying love. Now, Maryah and Nathan have a second chance at a future together, but first Maryah must remember the person she used to be and embrace her supernatural gifts—more than one kindril...more
I'm very biased. Don't go by my 5 star rating.
I'm running a little behind and had to push back the release date to the end of May, but I promise to try to get it in your hands ASAP.I swear I'm not slacking, I just want it to be as great as it can be, and don't want to rush it. You readers deserve better than that.
" When your eyes look like that, it's so..." I couldn't find a word powerful enough to describe it, so I went with,"magical".
"It's not me," he insisted."It's us. Our history. Every emotion, memory, and piece of our past together is stored in my soul."
We meet our favorite Kindrily again...and this time Maryah finally knows the true about her and all of them. She remembers the love for them, her love for Nathan. She proves to them all, how their love is truly eternal and that the so...more
"The heart remembers."
First of all, I would like to thank Karen, Starry Sky and Netgalley for my ARC copy. It was like one of my happiest days that week.
For the review: I missed the gang. I miss the whole Luna family and the idea of soul mates having supernatural powers.
I was more enthralled when I found out the story will be told in dual POVs. In Maryah's and Harmony's.
I am not fond with Harmony's character. I think she's too dark and lonely. I guess losing your soul mate is the worst thi...more
"Perfect. Then imagine that you started reading the most interesting and fascinating comic book ever created. You fell in love with some characters, you hated others. Endless plots unfolded and every one was an emotional page-turner you couldn't read fast enough because you had to know what was going to happen next. You felt like the world would end if you didn't find out how the story ended. But then you get to the end and there was no end. The author didn't finish it. You don'...more
I was counting down the days until this book came and when I got an ARC ( Thanks for that by the way) I actually did a little happy dance around my house before jumping into this book. The book did not leave my hands until I read the very last page.
While Grasping at Eternity was an amazing, fantastic, scream your head off good novel, in my opinion it doesn't hold a candle to Taking Back Forever. There was so much more action in this book, so much roma...more
I’m going to stick to the same format of Grasping at Eternity, I’m only going to mention the POVs.
Maryah/Mary: she has a lot of growth in this book, she’s not the same scared and insecure girl, she’s stronger, more confident and willing to explore her power.
Harmony: she’s angry, frustrated and bitter with justifiable reason, but she...more
I couldn’t help but start Taking Back Forever right after finishing Grasping at Eternity because I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. I’m totally addicted to this series, and this book was a great installment.
I’ve been suspecting since the first book that Maryah didn’t erase herself, but that Dedrick did something to her. I know it hasn’t been confirmed yet, but my spidey senses are telling me that I’m correct. The fact that she...more
It starts of pretty much were we left off in Grasping at Eternity and it is written in two perspectives, Maryah’s and H...more
I did regret that I let I guess three weeks passed before I start reading this because I read the book 1 Grasping at Eternity, for yes, like 3 weeks ago. I regret it! I shouldn't let school stuff got in...more
After really enjoying, Grasping at Eternity, I was so excited to be approved for this one. Taking Back Forever exceeded my expectations, and it was so much better than the first book. And after that cliffhanger ending, I know I'm gonna go crazy not knowing what happens next.
*Possible spoilers. But lots of them if you haven't read Grasping at Eternity. You've been warned.
This book starts off...more
"Not every star is destined to shine forever. Some of us are meant to quietly fade away."
*I might reveal something you wouldn't want to know. so if I were you, read the book first*
The story picked up from where it has ended in Grasping for Eternity. Reading this as a stand-alone will get you to nothing as it will send you to a whirlwind of story.
It has been forever since I posted some review. Lucky me, I get to have the time today so yeah. I've been very busy lately (studies,...more

Rating: ALL THE STARS! Okay no it's only five, but I'd give more if I could <3
Taking Back Forever became such an addiction for me during the time that I was reading it. Whenever I was doing something else, my thoughts always ended up back to this book.
When I had first heard that there wasn't going to be a recap of the first book I was a little nervous, as I read Grasping at Eternity a little over a year ago. But, the first book left such a...more
“Taking Back Forever“ is the second book in The Kindrily series. It’s a series where you don’t have books with a clear end but they continue directly where we left! So the reader doesn’t get a recap of what happened in book 1, which is good because it would afford to many pages! Therefore, if you haven’t read “Grasping at Eternity” or don’t remember all that was going on, r...more
In Taking Back Forever Maryah and the entire Kindrily are trying desperately to help her remember who she was before she erased and all her past lives. The need to help her remember and to regain her supernatural gifts are much needed to help th...more
First of all I have to say...WOW!!! I already loved GAE. But TBF took the story of Maryah and Nathan to a whole new level.
The first thing I liked: There was no big recap of GAE. For some that may be a thing not to like, but I don't buy the second book of a series in order to be told again and again what happened in the first one. I could hug Karen just for this :D
TBF is told from multiple POV. This was really well...more
I liked this better than the first one!!! I truly love how the author is evolving the plot, steering us in a direction I didn't think we were headed in with the last novel. This novel showed me that the Kindrily series had a lot of substance beyond just Maryah, beyond just Nate+Maryah.
(Book #2 of the Kindrily series starts immediately after Grasping at Eternity with NO review of previous plot points, so if you haven't read the first one, you'll be really confused with this one.)
Maryah finally believes what the people around her have been telling her; she's the reincarnation of Mary, the leader of the family who "erased" her memory after her last life.
However, she's still unable to control her abilities and help her family as much as she...more
“Tell you what.” His eyes gleamed as he licked his lips. “I’ll stop right before I slide into home. The author has managed to make Maryah and Nathan more open with each other so their love story is poignant and sweet. But Harmany's fragility and obstination was well pictured also....more
Nocturnal Predators Reviews
After finishing book 1 almost 8 months ago I was looking forward to reading the sequel. Unfortunately, it took too long getting here and I forgot a lot of detail and character names. I was a bit lost in the first few chapters, so because of this I started seeing everything with new eyes and not love-struck-he's-so-hot eyes.
I admit I found myself disliking Nathan (hate that name for personal reasons). He acts all superior and using BIG complicated w...more

~THE KINDRILY series
I was born and bred in Baltimore, frolicked and froze in Colorado for a couple of years, and I'm currently sunning and splashing around Florida with my two spoiled rescue dogs. I'm addicted to coffee, chocolate and complicated happily-ever-afters.
If a book is on my Read list then I enjoyed it (3-5 stars)...more
