Zane slid his fingertips across Ty’s lips. With a blink, his expression changed, and he was gazing at Ty with such longing and love that he might as well have screamed it at the top of his lungs. “I wouldn’t change it,” he rasped. “Any of it.”

This book made me go through a rainbow of emotions. Anticipation, anxiety, shock, sorrow, happiness, fear, hate, love, swooning (is swoon an emotion? anyway, I did it constantly), I cried happy tears, I cried sad tears, and then when I reached the end of...more

"Want to go to West Virginia and risk life and limb with me?"
Zane smirked and gave a single nod. "Sounds like fun."

From the blurb
From the mountains of West Virginia to a remote Texas horse ranch harboring more than just livestock and childhood memories, Ty and Zane must face their fears--and their families--to overcome an unlikely enemy and bring peace back into their newly shared world.

Finally. All that was good about Ty & Zane, that had been trapped in decent, but sometimes confusing, overwritten, or outlandish stories to date, finally made it's way to one AWESOME book.

"Stars & Stripes" is my favorite of the Cut & Run series and I feel it rewards the faithful readers and was like a BIG HUG to Ty & Zane fans everywhere. FINALLY the series lived up to its potential!

Forget tigers. Forget Texas. Forget bitchy moms. Forget crazy grandfathers. Forget every...more

Stars & Stripes is the best of Ty and Zane yet. Exciting, romantic, sexy, intriguing.... Start to finish, perfection!

There are so many great quotes, so many great scenes, and maybe one day I'll add them, or perhaps I'll just leave them for you to discover for yourselves. For now, the one thing I want to leave you with is that it doesn't get better than this. Ty and Zane are an incredible, unbeatable couple, and if you haven't already met them, stop what you're doing, grab book 1, and prepare...more

Stars & Stripes by Abigail Roux is the sixth in a gay romance series. In my review of the fifth book, Armed & Dangerous, I talk a little more about why I was hesitant to pick these books up but did anyway. I also talked about my Abigail-Roux-probably-ought-to-be-scared-of-me-because-I’m-such-a-rabid-fan-level of obsession. Seriously, y’all. There are no words for how much I LOVE THIS SERIES, OMG.

So, Abigail Roux had a co-writer for the first four books, but I am definitely a huge fan of...more

This book was one of my most anticipated reads of 2012, so you can imagine how excited I was to get it a week early. Ty and Zane are two of my favorite fictional characters, and probably one of my favorite series of all times, and this installment was AMAZING.

Ty and Zane have had a few months of leisure, but a phone call from Texas and Zane’s family throws off their balance. After a pit stop in West Virginia, Ty and Zane both...more

This was absolutely, at least to me, the best one in the series!

THE BEST!

I don't remember when was the last time I laughed so hard while reading a book. I always loved the humor between Ty and Zane but in this one I was laughing from the first page and I don't think I even stopped til the end! I loved every f***ing page! And I didn't want it to end, no no! But as I was reaching to the end, as much as I was dreading to finish it, because that meant no more Ty and Zane til april and no more laug...more

Favorite Quote: “Oh Jesus Ty. Are you okay?”

Ty closed his eyes again. He tried to speak, lips barely moving.

“What?” Zane asked as he leaned closer.

“I hate Texas.”

If I had to write a one sentence review of this book, I’d probably say, “Ty wears a Stetson while doing dirty deeds to Zane.” Is there really anything else you need to know? Seriously, some hot cowboy sex takes place in this book.

I think we are in such a great place in this series. Ty and Zane are in love, and I can’t get enough of it....more

I think I'm done with this series. It definitely peaked with book no.3 and just went downhill from there. I can't believe how schmaltzy this book is. And don't get me started on incredulity.

I understand that this series requires some pretty heavy suspension of disbelief but you can only do it so much. The near universal acceptance that Ty and Zane find as a couple in Texas and W.Virginia is probably the most implausible thing that Abigail Roux could've written. Not to mention the couple's passio...more

Just when I thought I couldn’t love this series any more than I already do, Roux gives us a fantastic, heartfelt, yet adventure-filled ride with STARS & STRIPES! This book blew my mind from beginning to end. Just 30 pages into this book, Roux had me laughing out loud and also crying with the amount of heartbreak. If there is one M/M couple out there who has my heart, it’s Ty and Zane. The trials and tribulations they have experienced by being together are finally b...more

FOR THESE BOYS!!!!! Probably my favorite in the series so far!!!!

Stars & Stripes starts out back in Baltimore, after several months of blissful quiet for Ty and Zane. They have settled into a routine at work and have been living happily together in Ty’s townhouse. Well at least Ty was happy. Since they were still cat-sitting for Julian Cross' giant evil cats, Smith and Wesson, Zane was never quite at ease. Surprisingly, the evil twins had beco...more

Another delightful Ty and Zane story set in Texas this time round. A beautiful m/m love affair shot through with humour and hot sex..

"You okay to mount?" he asked Ty.
Next time you ask me that, you better be naked."

Ty looked down at Zane and shook his head. "I want you to put 'He didn't want to ride the damn horse' on my tombstone."

Some spoliers ahead, I would advise reading only if you have read the book...

This book starts when Ty and Zane have been living together for two months. They’re both incredibly happy waking up together every day and spending all their time together. It’s had a great impact on them as a couple and I feel like this is the happiest we have ever seen them.

It was great to see Ty’s family again, Ty’s mum, Mara, was hilarious and provided a great start to this book.

'"Fun doesn’t start with a story...more

First up, I like this series. I wouldn't keep buying the books if I didn't! But just like the last installment, this one had some believability issues, now they were nowhere as bad as in Armed & Dangerous, but they were still there. So I am going to break down my rating by characterization, plot, pacing and chemistry. The four most important things to me in a novel.

CHARACTERIZATION

I love Ty and Zane's characters and their dysfunctional families were a hoot, but as other reviewers have stated...more

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS QUOTES BUT I DON'T THINK THEY ARE REAL SPOILERS

I've said this before about the Cut & Run series; This is what I read male/male romance for.

"What?" he asked. "Y'all didn't know they was sweethearts?"

THE STORY

For me, this was a transitional book in the series. I'm not going to summarize this book but I will tell you Abi did something here that I wish authors would do more often; she allowed an entire book to focus on relationship and character building while keeping an...more

The delicious tension between Zane and Ty is not what it used to be and coupley Zane/Ty are a bit boring, but this story is filled with interesting side characters that makes it fun when the story stars going.

All the heart warming stars for Stars & Stripes

The latest book of our beloved men focused on family drama, with added twist facing some criminals at Zane’s family ranch. Finally oh finally, they come out as a couple to their families!!! YES, both Ty and Zane’s. I was pretty emotional when it all came out, wary over reactions from probably the most important people in their life. Actually this story evoked many emotions, throughout the book I laughed, worried, sad, angry, happy, aroused, and...more

This might be my favorite of the series. While there isn't as much suspense in it as the others might have, this one brought home the fact that these boys really do belong together and they'll stay together through everything even if it means losing everything.

Ty and Zane. Christ, if only they were real. I love these boys more than probably any other couple. They are so intense, their passion leaps off the pages. Their feelings for each other are so intense, it's scorching. Especially in this ad...more

I absolutely loved this book!

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to write a review right now, but will rectify it as soon as I'm able to.

Once again I read it in a day, just like with A&D.

So awesome!

And again, I'm not able to come up with a review that would match how I feel about the book.

Let's just simply say: I LOVED EVERY SYLLABLE!

”You told me if I ever came to Texas you’d teach me how to ride, Ty drawled.”

Ty Grady and Zane Garrett make my heart happy. I mean can’t-stop-grinning-giddy-up-all-night-reading-energy happy! :D The humor, tenderness, and huge heart are kicked up a notch and on full display in every touch, gaze and kiss in these pages. The 6th book in Abigail Roux’s Cut & Run series is filled to the brim with romance, passion, revelations, and love. I love these guys!

To be honest, I actually just Liked this book more than I Really Liked it. I am not quite certain why I chose to rate upwards. I think maybe it had to do with the fact that I really liked seeing both Ty and Zane in Texas. Zane in cowboy boots and a Stetson, Ty in Stetson and pendant and not much else, etc. - those images were likely part of the reason my subconscious urged me to rate upwards. The other reason had to do with Barnum and Sadie, but most especially Barnum. I thought they we...more

It's always great to catch up with Ty and Zane! One of my favorite MM romance couples!

On this book we find Ty and Zane established in their relationship and now having to come clean to both sets of families about it. (view spoiler)[I loved how the coming out scene was played out with Ty's family. Zane's was also handled well for the most part. (hide spoiler)]

This book is a bit slower at the beginning than the other five books. The action doesn't begin unfolding until half way the book. So, if yo...more

I usually find myself losing patience with a long series of books, but this series keeps getting better and better.

Ty & Zane are by far my favorite fictional couple. Each book has their relationship maturing and the layers of past damage being peeled away, if not completely dealt with. In this book we finally get to meet Zane's family and get a good look at where a lot of Zane's emotional damage came from.

As usual, suspend disbelief for the "case" they are working on, but really that is jus...more

I think I fall a little more in love with Ty and Zane with each additional book in the series. I've never liked series that focus on the same characters throughout but I can't get enough of these guys.

The first 5%: Priceless. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard reading a book. I had tears running down my face. Ty's parents (and Chester, God love him) are a blast.

THE WARNING: Over-the-top gushing and fawning praise for this book follows. Those with a sugar intolerance should take the precaution of having salt, lime and tequila at hand for liberal application....

THE ANECDOTE: I started reading this book while sitting at the hairdressers for a long period of tedious and tight winding of rods into hair followed by the smelly application of cold, dripping and eye watering chemicals. The stylist kept asking me if I was OK. Obviously, my (not-so??) quietly sni...more
