Did you know that even a newborn baby gains lifelong benefit from story time? Neuro-educational studies have found that the brain is most impressionable to the nuances of languages during the first three years of life, and that the ritual of storytelling enhances problem-solving, decision-making, and even an understanding of abstract ideas. In fact, reading to your young c ...more

Reading time is my children favorite time, (probably because it delays bedtime, anyway :P) I always try to choose books the kids can relate to, understand and remember. In the mornings I ask them questions about the story we read to get their brains moving.

What I really loved is how this book is brain based, I had no idea what that meant before I googled it but I think these kinds of book are very important for growing children who are willing to learn. Thankfully the author put in a section on

It’s nice to find books that the parents can enjoy along with the children. Some books are so boring for both sides but not this book! This book is very unique; the illustrations are very well done and creative, the poems are cute and the kids love to read them.
I am very impressed and I wish there were more books out there like this; I can’t wait for Jennise Conley to write another. The nice thing about this book is any age group can participate in reading and have fun; it really is a good tool

I am a teacher who works with struggling readers once they get to middle school. When pursuing why this is a problem in the community I work in, I found that they missed the essential years of learning as babies.

Every parent who wants to get their child off on the right foot needs this book! What I love about it is that it teaches parents how to be the support system their child needs. It isn't just a childrens book, it educates parents who can put their knowledge into action right away.Buying t

This is definitely more than just a children's book. This book begins with some great information from the writer about how to read this book with children. It then goes into three adorably written and nicely illustrated poems. I would highly recommend that all parents and caregivers read A Fish, a Frog, and a Gnome: My Favorite Poems with their children.
