A good collection, but these monologues are too familiar; high in quality, but very well-known by directors and casting directors. It's always better to use something a little more off the beaten path, rather than compete with every other actor they've ever seen perform a particular piece. You can learn from the book how the selection of a good audition piece is made, and use it as a standard against which to compare what you intend to do.

used this book in a college drama course, it had some very beautiful and powerful monologues. My favorites being Nightluster, and Solitare/Double Solitare. They were fun to perform and pulled at me from inside.....
