My Lord De Burgh by Deborah Simmons He Was Like A Young God, Tall and Blessed With Startling Beauty. But Stephen DeBurgh appeared all too human to Brigid L'Estrange. Self-indulgent and too impressed with himself, the rakish knight seemed unworthy of his noble heritage. And yet...AND YET! Why then did she sense a power and RIGHTNESS about him that answered her heart's deepe ...more

Book 4 in the de Burgh series

This is Stephen’s story. Stephen is known as the drunk womanizer of the family. And it is his task to escort Brighid l’Estrange to her land in Wales. A good of this book is spent traveling and the other is a mystery (as Brighid is trying to discover who murdered her alchemist father). At first Stephen and Brighid seem wooden and flat as characters. Unfortunately, it takes almost the entire book before they slowly go through their transformation into believable and

Çünkü Brighid için tembel,a

Not even 1 star.
I hated Stephen in all the previous books, and I still hate him even after finished this book. Can't stand him at all. This book did nothing for me to like him.
I wanted to skip this book but I didn't want to miss some important "plot" for the next book, so I just kept on reading it. =__=

Alas, a normal romance with a little supernatural thrown in. I hated Stephen de Burgh until Brighid transformed him. Brighid's attempt to adapt to a non-paranormal society is rather interesting. There is a companion book MY LADY DE BURGH, but I'm not going searching for it.
