Why would anyone use a strategy guide? What is the point of buying a game, with the intention of playing it through and having fun, then going to gamestop and buying a $40 book to guide you every step of the way? Not only do strategy guides take away from the gaming experience, but they cost money as well. So let's see... Not only does it cost money to buy the game, but you lose the value of that game and more money after buying the guide... Righto.
This is a Halo 3 player's best friend. It provides excellent tips on how to complete the campaign on Legendary with a guide showing the weapon locations and secret areas. It teaches how to dominate the Xbox Live arena with detailed maps showing weapon spawns and tips for maps ex. hiding spots, power weapons etc. The campaign guide is completely spoiler-free making it very user-friendly to new players and veterans alike. If I were to choose a guide to follow, this would be the one. Even though I haven't used the campaign portion of the book yet, everything else has been helpful. The greatest strength of the book is that it has no spoilers. It would've been 5 star if not for the two small typos and a few problems with the weapon placements on some maps.
I learned that the brutes,and grunts in halo 3 on legendary could be more skillful and more carful but sneaky too.In the book the members from bungie say the locations of the skull........
If you don't have a lot of time and you really want to complete the campaign at the legendary level, this book is your buddy. It coaches you well and does not ruin it with spoilers.
