As the subtitle says, stories of faith from women in the persecuted church around the world. I was disappointed in this. When I saw it on Amazon, I thought it sounded really interesting. The accounts are arranged in chapters according to the sort of lesson learned in the situation. I recognize that there needs to be a certain amount of "vagueness" in order to protect the identities of the individuals but it wasn't consistent. I just finished reading this book yesterday 3/5/2009. It was a really good books, it talks about people and families in different countries that convert from there current religion to Christianity. Although in these countries worshiping God is forbidden people in these countries lose everything for some even there lives serving GOD. If you are looking for a good spiritual book to read, this would be it.

I'm not finished with it yet, but so far this proves to be a very touchingly profound book. It gives an in depth look into the lives of persecuted Christian women from around the world. Very horrible what they have to go through on a daily basis, yet their faith is made stronger with each trial they face. This is an amazing book!

Wow! Life altering.

The book gave a whole new appreciation for Christianity! I feel blessed to live in a country where I can worship God freely, without fear and repercussion.

I quite enjoyed the book; it really opened my eyes to the suffering of the persecuted church. However, there are some areas in which I choose to pick holes, thus only the three star rating.
