Last year, I read the LONG version of this story and I hated it. It was too long, confusing, and verbose. THIS version of the story, however, is great. I love the graphics, and I know that the kiddos do, too. The story is about a two-year long expedition across the Antarctic. It's a great story of perseverance, survival, and action. And it's a TRUE story, my favorite kind :)

I will use it next term with my ninth graders when we study leadership styles. Plus I love the story of Shackleton and the Endurance.
