Sixteen-year old Calma Harrison is as sarcastic and dramatic as they come. An eccentric Australian teen who communicates with her working mother through a series of Post-It notes, Calma has got it all figured out and has all the answers. Until her long absent father returns, she gets a bad hair cut that forces her to shave her head before her first date with georgeous Jason, she realizes her mother is hiding something from her, and she suspects her best friend is being abused. Suddenly, Calma More...

Calma Harrison has it all figured out.

She's gotten the clues and reviewed them, and she knows that she's right...because she can't be wrong.

This book was really great.

I liked the ending, even though it left me feeling a little disatisfied. I thought the plot was lame at first glance, but in reality it was enjoyable and fastpaced.

I liked the narrative, and I was laughing constantly. The character had obvious flaws, and that made it even more enjoyab

Not a big fan of this book or the author's way of telling the story. I understand that it was supposed to be sarcastic and quirky but I found it lacking. Calma was obsessed with the stories she created in her head and not att all interested in reality. Wouldn't recommend. Luckily it was only $.99 on the NOOK. Not worth more then that.

I liked it. Very funny and though some parts were confusing because it jumped around a bit, overall it was good. It was fun to see the different views, and how one little detail changed her views completely.

Such a refreshing voice! The humor was excellent as well. I love the spunky character of "Calma" with her biting sarcasm and creative narration. This book was awesome.
There is a sequel that I want to read as well.

I thought this was so hillarious. I read this when everyone was sleeping so I had to muffle my laughter so I wouldn't wake everyone up. This was a very fun short read. :)

I got headaches from laughing so much! If you just want to laugh (and maybe cry because of the beautiful poems) then this book is your friend.

Witty dialogue and hilarious monologues. Fell in love despite the fact that I don't actually like the storyline.

Ok, so this isn't the best book I've ever read, but there are some really good parts like when Calma gives instructions that anyone can follow to write a "great" poem for school and then follows them. Her teacher then gives her a a saxophone and tells her to play it. Or the part when she dresses up as "Super slut" and follows her mother to work to spy on her and then can't back in the car to get her real clothes and has to walk all the way back to work in heels and wig. The story is quite funny, as Jonsberg’s wit absolutely glows through Calma’s quirky narration. Readers will sometimes be wondering if they’re getting the whole story.

Constantly poking fun at itself, Am I Right or Am I Right will surprise readers used to straight-up-storytelling. It’s also as meaningful as it is funny as Calma begins to see beyond her own nose.
