This volume was much more interesting and very touching. We've finally left the races, that I found rather boring, and have moved to a world where magic and learning are important.

The focus is on Kurogane. Through a touch to a magical book, we see Kuogane's past...and the tragedies that helped shape the man he is in the current story. This adds some real depth to the character of Kurogane, and makes it easier to feel empathy for him.
Kurogane's past was heartbreaking to read about. I'm so glad to finally have an arc focused on him, though. As much as I love Syaoron and Sakura, I want to know more about the secondary characters. I really hope that Fye's story is told soon.
OMG ME ENCANTÓOOOOOOOO. KUROGANE <3<3<3 Uno de mis favoritos, definitivamente.
October 2013: 5 Stars (though I'd rate it higher if I could)
Gawd. The tears are still coming, and it's all I can do to suppress them.
This is definitely one of the more special volumes. I can't even find the words. This volume has brought so much to Kurogane's character, though. Gorgeous.

P.S. the volume I'm reading from appears to be damaged in that it starts on page 27. So although I'm missing a lot of the context as to the new world Syaoran and the gang have entered, the back of the book gave m
This is one of the more interesting volumes, as we finally see how everyone's story is coming together. Syaoran gets transported to Kurogane's past, where he learns of the terrible events that led Kurogane to become a ninja in Japan. After witnessing Kurogane's hardships, Syaoran picks up on a small detail that links the events in Clow Country to (view spoiler).

Although I do love some of the fillers in the other volumes, it's nice to have the st

With the power of sakura feather syaoran grabs a book from the library and goes into Kurogane's past/ Memories get ready for some sadness.

This one gets five stars because we get the back story for Kurogane. I was almost crying like Sayoran! No wonder he's some crazy killer! Very skilled but he needs a bit more learning, hence this journey and so on. Plus, Sayorana nd Kurogane became closer through this experience. Also, this book was all about books, hoorah!
I'm so glad that this wasn't yet another filler, that we're back on track with the main story. And I actually cried when I read this volume. It started out so happy but deteriorated so fast and then it was all dark and depressing and awesome, lovable people died - yeah, Clamp knows how to do that.
[Ch. 91-98]

I think this is the most interested I've ever been in a volume. It was really interesting and Kurogane had such a bad past. Gosh I can't even imagine the pain he felt when he saw his mom die and then that monster came with his dad's arm and sword.. :(

We learn a great deal of Kurogane's past. So many tears shed. Beautiful installment to the series.

poor kurogane!! ;-;
Dec 2013 - One of my favorite volumes, just because we get to learn more about the hard-edged, stubbornly awesome Kurogane! Love him!
Little Kurogane and his dad were so cute! So far, this is the best volume. Enough of the Piffle stuff! We finally get to see Kurogane's past and now that I can understand him better, I like him a lot more.
I particularly liked this volume. It does virtually nothing to move the plot forward, but it has an intriguing story and some interesting ideas. This may be my favorite volume yet...
In this cook, we learn something about Kuroganes past. Very entertaining. I can´t wait to get book 14!
Love the art and writing style of Clamp. Must read for manga and fantasy lovers.
