Real estate agents Julie Williams has a mildly retarded son. When she finds him at one of the houses she’s looking after with blood on his hands and a body in the hall, she’s convinced he’s innocent. However, the police find his fingerprints on the murder weapon and he is arrested.

First I'd like to say I missed one of my favorite events in the Olympics because of this book. It sucked me in harder than a good Life Time movie on a Sunday. Julie's resilience to prove her mentally challenged son is innocent is the driving force behind this story. As a mother myself I could see me continuing on long after the police had wiped their hands of it.

Fingerprints is a book that is a fast read. A murder mystery of a young man being accused of a murder he did not commit and a mother doing everything she can, including investigating the murder, to free her son. The story grabs you from the beginning and does not let go until the end. Very absorbing likable characters and a believable story line.
