I'm officially done with my Everest obsession. This book was more of an autobiography, not so much about his Everest experience. I was particularly interested in learning more about Sir Ed after hearing people's memorials after his death. Not a bad read, but not great either.

Great story on attemp to conquer Everest. Even bigger story on what happened afterward. It was wonderful that Tenzing and Hillary can be friends despite temptation to spit out who was the first summiter.

What a guy. He's on the first team to summit Everest, sets numerous polar exploration records, and builds a boat load of schools for the poor in Nepal. No wonder he's on New Zeland's currency.

Great, fascinating mountaineer; not an exceptional writer. He'd bring in references to things and not complete them. Frustrating read at best!
