This book is absolutely stunning. The stories are told in a way that children can understand, but keeps the integrity of the form of Celtic Verse. The illustrations are breathtaking and help to give you a more polished view of what the verses describe. My favorite depiction of Cuchulain is in this book.

John Matthews is an historian, folklorist and author.
