Sarina is scarred. Her L'inar, the curving nerve lines that enable Inarrii to experience their full sexuality, were severed in battle and she can no longer reach completion. Until she accepts a job as bodyguard to the human ambassador John Bennings, and is astonished to discover that they share a mental bond—a mirrored pathway of thoughts that will allow Sarina to climax.

This is my first book by Lilly Cain but it will not be my last as I really enjoyed the premise of this one. Undercover Alliance is actually the third book in a series called The Confederacy Treaty and despite not having read the previous two books I didn't feel as though I were missing out on information.

The main character Sarina is an alien (well, an alien to Earth) called Inarrii. They are a very sexual species and have what are called L'inar that run along their entire bodies. These are nerve

Good book with a nice and realistic romance, and lots of action.

I liked the romantic development between Sarina and John. Forgetting the part where Sarina is not human and has a very open attitude about sex, their relationship seemed real. This is a complaint I have about some romance books- the relationship develops too quickly and people who have known each other for 2 minutes are madly in love and getting married. Sarina and John get to know each other, as much as John will allow since he's w

Science fiction universe with strong erotic elements and a plot. Recommended for fans of all three.

Sarina has a biological problem that is likely to drive her insane. John is more than the human ambassador he appears to be. Amidst an intergalactic negotiations, the two must work together to ensure that a treaty is signed before terrorists destroy Earth's possible only chance of survival.

What can I say? I'm on a roll from Carina Press. All of the scifiroms I've read have been dog gone awesome.

An injury in battle has left Sarina irrevocably scarred. Her people carry L'inar, hypersensitive lines throughout their bodies, which help enhance their sexual experiences. But Sarina's have been severed in one place, leading her to believe she will never again feel full sexual pleasure. Once a great warrior, now she is being relegated to bodyguard duty... because without the release of orgasm, she could slowly go insane.

John is the man Sarina is charged to protect. He is a human who is part of

I got the ARC for Undercover Alliance and you know what I really have to pay attention to what I sign up to review, first off this was a little too science fictiony for my taste and secondly I hate picking up a book in the middle of a series. Undercover Alliance is the third book in the Confederacy Treaty and since I haven't read the first two it was rather daft starting with the third one.

Undercover Alliance was thankfully ver

Undercover Alliance is the third book in Lilly Cain’s sci fi/erotic romance series, Confederacy Treaty. This book focuses on the Inarrii warrior Sarina, a character who was briefly introduced in the second book The Naked Truth, and her relationship with John Bennings, a human covert operative. Great chemistry between the main characters and an engaging plot definitely made this my favorite of the series.

Sarina was a great female lead. As a strong Inarri warrior, she can hold her own in military

I'm a gigantic nerd, so when the opportunity popped up to read Lilly Cain's Undercover Alliance on NetGalley, I jumped at it. This Carina Press erotic novella details a human-alien relationship between Sarina and the man she's assigned to protect, John Bennings.

When the story begins, Sarina is damaged; her external nerve system that defines her race has been severed, and she's unable to reach a sexual climax, which her people determine is necessary to their mental health. As a result, this fem

My Review:

I don't know what it is about Sci Fi books, but they just seem a natural fit with the erotica genre. This is book #3 in this series and I've really enjoyed all three books. They take place in a world of the future where earth has just made first contact with an alien civilization, the Inarrii. The Inarrii are a lot like humans physiological...they are just more sexual and have nerve endings on the surface of their skin, called L'inar, which are very erogenous and appear like tattoos. F

"Undercover Alliance" by Lilly Cain was a good fantasy science fiction erotic romantic read that I found very interesting read. This is the third novel in the Confederacy Treaty series which was a sexy sci-fi read. I found this novel a very good one starting with the main character who was Sarina. Sarina was a alien called Inarrii..that had sexual species that were called L'ina

The political intrigue, suspenseful action sequences, and steamy sexual interludes continue in this third installment of The Confederacy Treaty, Undercover Alliance. The treaty between the Inarri and humans is still in danger with traitorous individuals coming out of the woodwork when you least expect it to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Through the actions of Captain Susan Branscombe in the previous book, Sarina is left permanently scarred in a way that makes sexual fulfillment difficult and

Ok... I liked this one and probably would have enjoyed it more if I had realized it was a part of a series before I started it.

I will be going back and reading the previous books as I did enjoy the writing style and the world this is set in.

My thoughts:

Sarina is a very strong heroine who is at a point in her life where things do not look good and she is lost... You see she has damage done to her that makes her unable to orgasm. This may not seem like a huge deal (yeah I know I like them too but

One of the neat things about genres like science fiction romance is that the author gets to use the science fiction part of the blend to "play" with or comment on some of the aspects of the human experience from a slightly different perspective.

Undercover Alliance by Lilly Cain lives up to its claim of being erotic science fiction romance. And it does a very good job of it, too!

But the alien race in her Confederacy Treaty series, the Inarrii, are not merely

Say it with me now: Sexy Sci-Fi is my crack. I'm still irrationally obsessed with finding more of the good stuff and this book hit the spot. So to speak. In fact, this whole series makes me happy. Aliens! Who like to have sex! The humans who can keep up with them both sexually and mentally! I'm bouncing in my seat over this. Seriously.

The worldbuilding in this series is so fun. I really do love that the Inarii's well-being is tied to sex. Without release, they slowly lose their minds. Sarina is

I was given the galley by Carina Press on NetGalley, and did not immediately begin reading it. I thought, a romance between a human and and alien is intriguing, but, well, kind of weird. Maybe not my cup of tea. But I was very pleasantly surprised. Lilly Cain is a good writer, and the book never sinks into romance genre slush of "feelings" verbage. Romance, and sex, are the point, but there is a decent plot. At only one point did I think there was a string left dangling, and if you pulled it the ...more

Lilly Cain is a “new to me” author. I was glad to be offered this book by the publisher in return for a fair and honest review, via Netgalley.
Sarina is Inarrrii. The Inarrrii are a sexual humanoid alien. They’ve got sexual nerves running throughout their bodies that appear on the skin like henna tattoos. Sarina was injured and unable to come to completion sexually which is like a sentence to insanity for an Inarrrii. John is a human who is working undercover to stop the threat to the Human/ Ina
Though this was an interesting read, I didn't love it as much as the previous book. I think, in part, because the hero of this book is keeping a secret from the heroine. Although I understood his reasons for doing so, I felt it went on a bit long.

Aside from that, this is a solid read. The characters were interesting and so was the plot. I really like the world Cain has created. I'm looking forward to reading the first book in the series (which I somehow missed) and hope to see more from her in

Sarina is Inarrrii who has been injured, her L’inar, the curving nerve lines that enable Inarrii to experience their full sexuality, were severed in battle. John is a human who works undercover and lost a partner which has made him keep people at a distance, unable to experience friendship or love fully.

A strong female character, a hot man, and lots of action. Undercover Alliance is fun, sexy, quick read. If you’re a fan of science fiction romance, you’ll be a fan of this novella.

This one difficult read.
With all the sci-fi words it was to hard to keep track to know, what what!
You really need to be a die-hard sci -fi fan to read this one out! I don't think the hotness and Alfa man make it up to the story. Review to come.
