I can't tell you how much I like seeing more "everyday" type books for different religions & faith practices, and not just the "holiday/special event" stories. This one is a quiet depiction of a Shabbat that is both completely normal (familiar rituals & family) and unique (snow in Georgia, no electricity). Lots of touchstones here: saying prayers, lighting candles, looking for 3 stars.
Fun illustrations. A boy spends Shabbat with his grandparents. The lights go out and it snows in Georgia.
