Battle of the Dinosaur Bones: Othniel Charles Marsh vs Edward Drinker Cope by Rebecca L. Johnson is a children's non fiction book scheduled for release on November 1 2012. A slim, dry but systematic account of the renowned conflict between two of this country's early paleontologists--which became, as the author rightly calls it, "unprofessional" and was childish no matter how you look at it. I would have liked to see more detail about their discoveries (and their errors), and the state of that new science during their careers, as well as about the techniques of finding and preparing fossils. Still, OK for a general picture.
