Interesting primer on a topic that, sadly, was never discussed in depth in during my high school education. (And I haven't focused on South East Asia or 20th century American History in my further educational endeavors.) It's not an exaggeration to say that not once, until reading this book, was I aware (or taught) that this conflict originated in colonialism and the many anti-colonial struggles of the 20th century. It is a good brief history of the war. The only complaint is that it is a very dense book for just 128 pages.
