I read these such a long time ago, starting when I was a little girl and ending in the early 90's when I lost patience as a teenager waiting for the next one to come out. But this series was an important part of my childhood and developing a life-ling love of reading. I'd have to read them again to give a fair review now, but I can say that as a child, I adored them. I own all the books in the Elizabeth Gail series and they are my favorite books ever. I have the 1980s edition from WindRider books and i keep them in a plastic box to keep them in good shape because they are so old but I take them out one by one and read through the entire series at least once a year
