Brand new, from my buddy Louise.
Sloan has done something difficult--she's written a breezy book about artificial insemination and single parenthood. Part self-help, part popular sociology, this book covers both the general how-to as well as the why; the latter (as well as the angst, the celebration, the what-will-my-mother-think?) is conveyed through Sloan's first-person account of her own attempts at single pregnancy and those of a number of other women.

Great resource and HILARIOUS! I laughed out loud on several occasions! A great read for EVERYONE, whether you are on 'the journey' or not.

It continues to amaze me how I can have so many bright, ambitious, talented and successful 30-something female friends who have yet to find fulfilling relationships. What is up with that?! If family is important to you, don't sit nervously watching your biological clock tick away... knock yourself up! Why not!? Makes total sense to me. Props to Sloan for writing this book.
Note to partner: No, I'm not planning on knocking myself up without you.

This was the first book I've read on the subject of becoming a single mother. I found it to be pretty informative on a personal level, but on a practical level left quite a bit to be desired. It was, nonetheless, a useful book and gave nice insight into the trials of becoming a single mother to begin with, through pregnancy and birth, and beyond. I'd recommend it as a girlfriend's guide more than anything else.
Always something to keep in mind and I have been thinking about this for a while.. just researching now...lol
HAHA!!!
The title to this book cracks me up!
A super funny book on the ups, downs and donors of single parenting.
Not just for women, or for single parents... this book reads like a novel and it is entertaining!
