When Rose contacted me about her new book I said YES! I would love to review it. I simply loved Pig in the Pantry and was already excited about her next book just after reading the title. We homeschoolers need to stick together!!
More than just essays to read, Rose adds a question at the end of each entry to get you thinking about your own experiences. Thought provoking and unique, these stories in her own life with conjure up memories and situations in yours that may need a new perspective. I lo...more

I received this book for free through Goodreads giveaways.
The author of the book has eleven kids. Eleven. Some by birth, some by adoption, some by marriage. AND she has a career as a speech pathologist. AND she lives on a working farm. Oh, AND she homeschools her kids.
Each chapter is a two to four page vingette modeling something like a Chicken Soup book. The chapters stand alone; there is not a linear story being told, and one chapter has nothing to do specifically with another.

Great little book of essays about raising a large family in a not so conventional manner. I thoroughly enjoyed Godfrey’s take on life, parenting and her personal experiences with her family. It was a joy to read. One you can back for your favorite parts. Thanks Goodreads! *** Please note I received this book for free from Goodreads - First Reads.
